According to data from the National Federation of Coffee Growers, between January and June of 2014 the coffee crop in Colombia rose by 12 per cent and stood at 5.5 million bags of 60 kilos, 600,000 sacks more in comparison with the 4.9 million bags of coffee produced in the first half of 2013.
