    CCUP HOMECOMING RECEPTION| This weekend, Sunday, October 6th | There are many new faces at CCUP. New staff and new parishioners. Please join us for a casual brunch this Sunday, October 6th, 2013 following the 11:00 a.m. Mass. All are welcome. A volunteer will also be in the parish library to answer any questions and help with checkouts.

    PARISH LIBRARY BOOK FAIR| October 19th & 20th |Our parish library has received many donated books, most of them left behind by Father Bacik. Some of them are duplicates of books already in the library and others by authors who are well-represented in the library which has limited space. There will be a Book Fair in the Meeting Room after the 4:30 p.m. Mass on Saturday, Oct. 19 and after the 11 a.m. Mass on Sunday, Oct. 20. A free will donation for library support may be given.

    PARISH PLANNING PROCESS OBJECTIVE | One of the objectives arising from the fall 2012 parish planning process is a review of the greeting process before Mass, social time following Mass and welcoming of new members. To accomplish this we are forming a team of parishioners to develop and implement a process for welcoming and enhancing fellowship in the parish. Please contact the parish offi ce or Darlene Johnson at [email protected] or Susan Palmer at [email protected] to join the team.

    Altar Servers: If you would like to become an Altar Server at Mass and have not already gone through the training we are offering another training session after the 11 a.m. and the 6 p.m. Mass on Sunday, Oct. 13th. Please see Deacon Tom Sheehan if you have any questions.

    2013 FALL LECTURE SERIES | Continues on Tuesdays, 8th: Paul Lakeland, The Church of the Good Samaritan: Compassion, Completion, Humility; 15th: James Bacik, A Church for the Post-Modern World and 22nd: TBA. All lectures begin at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 each at the door the night of the individual lecture.

  • FUND RAISER FOR CCUP | GRADKOWSKI’S RESTAURANT serves brunch from 10-2pm on Sundays. The fi rst Sunday of every month, Gradkowski’s will donate 10% of the brunch receipt of any CCUP parishioner to CCUP. You need to bring proof that you are a parishioner & attended Mass by showing a bulletin for that weekend.

    MUSIC PRACTICE | Anyone who sings or plays an instrument is invited to join in our Sunday celebration of the Eucharist. Music practice is held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m.. The Tuesday practice is for 4:30 p.m. and 11:00 a.m. Mass, the Wednesday for 6 p.m.

    Infant Baptism: The Sacrament of Baptism is celebrated after the 11 a.m. Mass on the fourth Sunday of the month. Registered parishioners are asked to make arrangements for the Baptismal Preparation Class and the Liturgical Celebration by calling the Parish Offi ce.Parish Registration: Corpus Christi University Parish welcomes any person of good will who seeks a growing relationship with God, others and the Catholic Church. Membership in this community involves regular participation in parish liturgical prayer and mutual relations that promotes the responsible sharing of time, talent and treasure. Please contact the parish offi ce for a registration form.

    Matrimony: Anyone planning to be married must contact the Parish at least six months in advance. The exact date and time of your wedding should not be determined until after consultation with a priest or deacon. If either party has previously been civilly or religiously married, the Presider is not permitted to set a date for the wedding without resolving the previous marriage.

    Pastoral Care of the Sick: When a parishioner is confi ned to home because of age or infi rmity, or in a hospital or nursing home, please call the parish offi ce to arrange for Holy Communion to be brought to them. When one is seriously ill, the healing Presence of the Lord should be requested in the Sacrament of the Sick by calling the Parish offi ce
