Ransom Skateboarding Events

In the past 3 years my organization Ransom Skateboarding Events alone

has successively brought the love of skateboarding to kids from multiple neighborhoods, different

ethnic, economic and social backgrounds throughout Southern Connecticut and satellite events in

Fort Worth, Texas and Atlanta, Georgia .

Ransom brings teens together to combat their trials and tribulations that they face in everyday

urban areas. With the help of my skateboarding friends we have been holding reoccurring events in

different neighborhoods giving out prizes for participation as well as introducing the skateboarding

culture and lifestyle to kids that normally wouldn't get the chance to experience the love, joy and

positive influence that skateboarding had on our own lives because everyone doesn’t like or play

basketball or football or any other organized activities these days.

We help bring kids together that would...sad but true normally day become enemies. By targeting kids 12-19 years of age in our cities and towns today with our charity events we have

introduced:

• Fun • Skateboarding lessons • Non-competitive contest and jams • Sponsorship consulting • Mentoring teaching the importance of being a individual as well as at handling the dangers of being a teen

• Overcoming economic problems by showing kids how to use their god sent ability’s to make their own money.

• Drug counseling • Social problem solving skills. • How to combat peer pressure in school and in the streets. • Anti violent solutions to problems. • The joy of working with others and appreciating their own.

We help me keep this great positive charity going strong with no help from the non-supportive city officials by asking friends we grew up skating with for donations to help fund the charity with cash for transportation (to cover bus and train fare for kids that have no ride or no funds

for transportation), water, school supplies, skate videos and magazines.

We also had prizes from numerous supportive skateboard companies like:

DC Shoes, Osiris Shoes, Girl and Chocolate skateboards, Bodega skateboards, Channel One skate shop, Defiant wheels, Kayo corp. with DGK and Expedition skateboards, Paradox Grip tape, Bones wheels, Fourstar clothing and many others that are support

our cause.

To date Ransom has given away well over $20,000 in cash and prizes. All donations benefit the events and the only profit made is the smile on the kids face.
