Color ManagementJVC’s sophisticated pin point sampling filter compensates for color range limitations, color bleeding, and other interference that can distort or muddy the beauty of the original image.

Dynamic GammaDynamic Gamma is a correction circuit that helps to preserve the tonal details and smooth gradations within the dark areas of video sources. It helps provide optimal contrast and detail.

3D Y/C Digital Comb Filter w/MPEG NRThis suite of noise reducing filters helps reduce the digital imperfections commonly found within digital broadcasts, DVDs converted from film, and other less than perfect quality sources.

Natural CinemaThis edge smoothing circuit samples and compensates for the jagged edges that commonly occur in videos that were converted from film. It is especially helpful with movies on DVD.

Black Level ExpansionOn a JVC LCD contrast is never an issue thanks to Black Level Expansion, a filter that helps maintain the depth of blackness in video without losing any of the subtle details of the original source.

Smart PictureSmart Picture (available on P and J series) samples incoming brightness levels and compensates for those that appear to be too bright or not bright enough so the resulting picture is just right.

JPG Photo ViewerAvailable on P and J series, the side panel USB input lets you view your JVC Everio, digital camera, or other mass storage device photos in high resolution one by one or in a slide show. P Series owners can set the mood by playing the show to their favorite iPod tunes.

Aspect Modes Built-in ATSC and QAM TunersEvery JVC LCD is simple to hookup and ready to receive your choice of video source with built-in ATSC and Digital Cable tuners. The ATSC tuner allows you to receive over-the-air digital, terrestrial broadcasts with an antenna. The Clear QAM tuner allows you to receive unscrambled digital cable signals.

HDMIThe perfect viewing experience begins with the perfect source, but any source is only as good as the connection that is present. For the best possible experience every JVC LCD comes with at least two HDMI with HDCP and CEC compatibility. Every J and P Series model contains HDMI v1.3.

PC InputBoth 19 inch and all J and P Series LCDs are equipped with a PC Input (D-Sub 15 pin type) so you can easily connect your laptop or other PC and use the television as a monitor. The PC In comes in very handy when your TV is placed in the den, office, kid’s room or dorm.

All other connectionsOur engineers have deliberated and selected a precise amount of inputs and outputs for each model so that you will be able to connect all your current and future devices. See pages 6 to 9 for series specific information, and pages 10 to 11 for model by model information.

1) Regular 16:9 HD Broadcasts appear unaltered but did you know, most HD broadcasts only display 95% of the complete picture? JVC’s exclusive Full Native aspect ratio fixes it so you see 100% of the picture.

2) Regular 4:3 HD Broadcasts also appear unaltered but with black bars on the sides. JVC’s Panorama Zoom takes those 4:3 images and zooms and stretches them to fill the 16:9 screen.

3) “Picture framed” images sometimes appear when a signal is not HD. Our Cinema Zoom takes those images and zooms in from the center to fill the screen.

TeleDock.JVC’s 2nd gen. TeleDock maintains its smart, flip down, no wires dock for your iPod, but almost everything else is new or greatly improved for 2009:

3 Menus and list views are now mirrored versions of what’s actually on your iPod

3 During music playback, song title, artist, album and genre are all displayed on the TV screen

3 Connecting to a PC via USB, HDMI, or PC-in lets you view iTunes on the TV and sync the docked iPod

3 You can view your iPod photos (or photos from another USB device) while listening to your iPod’s music

3 New cosmetics round out the improvements with a gloss black finish and new acrylic blue light diffusers

Dock your iPod and enjoy all your content on the big screen while the TV charges it.

Using video play mode lets you watch all your iPod content including movies, TV shows, rentals or even home videos you’ve converted to a compatible format.

The new menu system lets you easily scroll through your content using the TV’s universal remote, mirroring exactly what is on your iPod in the order it is stored. For total iPod control, enter PCON mode and use the iPod menu system.

Back by popular demand are the iPod Mini modes designed to make your lower resolution video content look as good as it can on the big screen.

A major improvement this year is the ability to scroll through your playlists, albums, artists and genres to choose what you want to listen to using the TV’s remote. Or, if you prefer to have the visual cues on the iPod system, you can use PCON mode for this, too. Also this year you can watch a slide show of your iPod photos or from the USB JPG photo viewer set the tunes in your iPod library.

Now you can connect a PC to your P-Series television and sync your iPod directly with your iTunes library.
