Primary Debating This is an exciting project for Y6 pupils from ten local schools. Run by Latymer Upper students, the children meet weekly to learn debating skills, which culminate in a competition.

Tri-borough Music Hub Latymer Upper School continues to host this music service for over 100 local children each Saturday.

Latin Latin clubs for primary school pupils are run by Latymer Upper L6th at John Betts & St Stephen’s CE Primary .

Mentors and Learning Support Assistants L6th students volunteer in local primary schools, after school clubs and community homework clubs and act as mentors for Y10 pupils at The West London Free School. Current pupils volunteer at IntoUniversity centres around London & we are extending this outreach to include Latymer Upper alumni.

Saturday School Every Saturday during the spring term 120 pupils in Y6 from up to 30 local primary schools attend lessons and workshops delivered by Latymer Upper staff and L6th assistants in Cookery, Photography, Roman History, Film-making, and more!

Saturday STEM Academy With support from the charity SHINE, STEM Academy on Saturdays at Latymer Upper aims to inspire local Y9 pupils in Science, Maths & Technology.

Voluntary Service Voluntary Service is an integral part of our sixth form curriculum. Over 170 L6th students volunteer at primary schools, charities, hospices, homes for the elderly, environmental projects and youth projects.

Our students have carried out their Voluntary Service in the following places; the list continues to grow:

SPORT, SECONDARY SCHOOLS AND GLOBAL OUTREACH

Latymer Upper Sports Facilities Our Wood Lane sports grounds are shared with a number of other schools & organisations and after reopening in Autumn 2015 our spectacular Sports Hall -including the 25m 6-lane swimming pool - will continue its full outreach programme for clubs and members in the evenings and at weekends.

Twilight Physics & Maths sessions for Y11 pupils and History of Art Taster Days for local Y10/11 pupils.

Y12 mentors at WLFS and the STEM Academy for Y10 pupils

Alumni links and mentoring at IntoUniversity

Other Local Outreach Partnerships IntoUniversity - Latymer Upper alumni , currently at university, will become mentors, volunteering for 1 to 2 hours every other week.

The Lyric Theatre—GCSE drama students have also participated in projects with , Hammersmith.

Exchanges & Links with Schools Abroad

Since 1948, there has been an annual exchange with the Johanneum Gymnasium in Hamburg and we continue to foster our Nantes and Argentinian exchanges.

European Work Experience

Since 1994, Latymer Upper pupils have engaged in a work experience exchange programme with the Canisius Kolleg in Berlin and The Lycée Notre-Dame du Grandchamp in Versailles.

International Charity Links & Global Citizenship

Pupils and staff are helping to support projects in Uganda, such as The Mummy Foundation in Kampala, Musequality and Brass for Africa.

The Latymer Upper community also supports eight children from the M-Lisada orphanage so that they are able to attend school.

Pupils have also raised funds for the Phillipines Typhoon Appeal and Solar Aid.
