1. When will I be able to apply for a scholarship?

Scholarships will be available online at www.cfrrr.org by December 1, 2010.

Applications will be due by March 4, 2011 and notices will be sent to all applicants by April 29, 2011.

2. What are the criteria for your scholarships?

Each scholarship has different criteria. We encourage you to visit our website (www.cfrrr.org) or speak

with your school guidance counselor about those scholarships that apply to your circumstances. In order

to apply for a scholarship you MUST be a graduating senior. You can apply for competitive

scholarships using our online scholarship application form at www.cfrrr.org . Applications may be

submitted until March 4, 2011.

3. Can I apply for more than one scholarship?

You may apply for more than one scholarship if you are eligible to do so – that is if you fit into the

category for that scholarship (i.e. the school applies to you, and you fit the criteria described in the

scholarship details).

4. Can I win more than one scholarship?

Yes, you can win as many scholarships that apply to your school, the criteria and/or your circumstances.

5. How will I know if I win a scholarship?

The Community Foundation will notify all winners and non-winners except for the Betty Merrill

Scholarship for Excellence in Latin and The Bill Lontz Science Award by April 29, 2011.

6. If I change my college choice will it affect my scholarship application?

It will only affect your scholarship application if you are no longer accepted at a college or university. If

you been awarded a scholarship, you should let the Community Foundation know if your college choice

changes so that we may update our records.

7. Will I receive an acknowledgement of my scholarship application?

The Community Foundation will send you a postcard acknowledging the receipt of your scholarship

application.

***SPECIAL PROVISIONS REGARDING SCHOLARSHIPS: Due to the potential for undue pressure and subjectivity in the

scholarship selection process, family members of current members of the board and administrative staff are not allowed to apply for a

CFRRR scholarship. In addition, family members of any person asked to serve in the scholarship committee (non-board members) are

not allowed to apply for a CFRRR scholarship. All members of the CFRRR Scholarship Committee will sign a statement of disclosure

upon appointment to the committee. For the purpose of this policy, family members are defined as spouses, children, grandchildren,

stepchildren, step grandchildren, siblings and their children.
