Conservation Rates
A five-tiered inclining block conservation rate structure for single-family residential water usage was first implemented
in fiscal year 2010 to more equitably distribute the costs of
service and provide financial incentives for water
conservation.
As customers use more water each month, the price of
each incremental tier increases to dissuade additional usage.
