We have put together a short clip to explain what our app is and what it is used for…

We are using an API from recordsetter.com. This is a restful service that returns search results in a JSON format. The API also allows us to submit new records as well as existing records although we haven’t been able to implement that as yet.

To create our app we have used MIT app inventor 2 because as a team we are fairly new to coding and it has a scratch like interface. However it has limited our design since the textboxes, labels, etc. automatically skip to a certain position when they are dragged in.

Next time we might use a more advanced programme and explore a bit more rather then jump right in to the project.

To explain how you can set records we are going to do a demonstration. RECORD NAME: How many cheeses recited in 30 seconds.
