The impact for staff and students.

-The proposed change for the school day would be 9 am to 3 pm.

-The change would be a reduction in 5 or 10 minutes of Lunch time ( 3o/35

minute Lunch with 2 duties of 20 minutes overlapped), 5 minutes from recess (

20 minute Recess) and 8.55 or 9 am start. Roll call will remain. (suggested

start/finish and period times are attached).

-Lunch reduction to 30 minutes with a 3 pm finish. 30 minute lunch may ease

playground pressure.

-Presently some students wait up to 40 minutes in the afternoon before they

get on the bus. Some students are required to change buses at the primary

school.

CONT..

-Students venture down to coles and woolies in the afternoon before getting on the

bus home. Creating supervision issues. (the change would see all students on their

relevant bus prior to 3.20)

-only UHS students will be all Bus runs. Primary schools would have their own

buses.

-the amended time would allow for an extra bus for Burrill (the dairy)

-Traffic Reduction- Between 3.20 and 3. 35 Both UHS and UPS finish school, the

traffic is problematic as both schools are finishing within 5 minutes of each other,

that is 2000 students exit at this time. Staggering the finish times would ease

congestion considerable around all nearby streets.

- opportunity to run after school meetings, rehearsals, clubs tutoring etc. with an

earlier finish.
