Sponsors Chapter Z holds it’s monthly meeting on: Date: 4th Sunday of the month Time: We eat at 5:00 and start the meeting at 6:00 Location: The Germantown Grille Restaurant in Germantown Hill,IL Rt. 116 on the south side Monthly Meeting Well as we head into another month of shelter in place it makes me realize how truly fortunate I really, I am. Yes, I miss seeing my family and grandchildren very much. I miss seeing all my dear friends very much, but I am also very grateful that I’m still alive and healthy enough to miss these things. I know we all have different opinions about what is going on and that is ok. That is what makes us all who we are and makes us all friends. Hopefully, this will all be in the past soon and we can get back to what we all do best getting out with our friends and family on those bikes and riding. For now, all chapter events are cancelled, and I will be sure to let you all know as soon as that changes. We will continue to try and do a zoom call event occasionally, because I enjoyed hearing everyone’s voice and seeing your faces even if it had to be on my computer. I will send out email’s when we will be doing this. That is all from me everyone stays safe and healthy and hope to see you all soon back out on the road. Friends for Fun , Safety and Knowledge
Well I am sitting here staring at my computer trying to think of something witty and new. Ithink we have enough of the COVID 19 for a long time. Bill and I have been together for about5 weeks now and we are still functioning well. Thankfully we are both healthy and trying tostay that way.
With the weather getting nicer we can at least get outside and enjoy the sunshine. I sup-pose you can even get on the bike and enjoy a ride if you like. Bill is on the riding mower hav-ing fun and being productive as well.
We learned how to download Zoom and have been able to see our daughter in Chicagoand my sisters in their homes. Chapter Z is going to try a Zoom BYOIC on Thursday.
I hope everyone is staying safe and at home when possible. This will end and it will beso great to see everyone in person and collect all the hugs we have been saving up.

Well, as your Ride Coordinator there is notmuch for me to do right now. The state has just an-nounced that the stay at home order is extended toJune. All of May’s events are canceled and a lot ofJune’s rallies are canceled as well. We do have a fewevents on the schedule for June, but we will take await and see approach at this time. However, I am notholding out much hope for June currently. Lookinginto July we have Wing Ding coming up. As of thiswriting Wing Ding is still on but Debbie and I willnot be attending. The main reason is we just don’tfeel comfortable attending that large of a gatheringwith people from all over the country at this time. Ialso needed to confirm my vacation dates by the endof April so we just figured it would be best to cancel.We have had some fun Zoom events and hope to havemore of those until we can meet again in person.Please stay in touch and keep and eye out on what ishappening in your chapter.

Hello Chapter Z friends and family: Well, John and I are sheltering in place as I am sure most of you are unless you are working. It’s vital that
we do our part to flatten the curve of the virus so we can resume life as usual soon. We pray for all of you and yourfamilies as this is a “new normal” for all of us.
We have had a couple of fun Zoom calls. The first was a staff call which was a great way to see everyone.Then on Thursday we had a virtual ice cream ride and we enjoyed that. Zoom is easier to use than I had antici-pated and can be used from your smart phone or computer that has a camera. You just go to zoom.com and Debsends out the meeting ID and password to join the meetings.
I am doing my Zumba class twice weekly via Zoom. My fabulous instructor Lucy teaches classes from herhome and it really is fun and keeps my activity up even when it’s rainy or cold outside.
We miss all of you and are looking forward to when we can meet in person. In the meantime, praying youall are safe and taking precautions when you must go out. That is all the information I have for now but be look-ing for more fun Zoom calls to be announced by Debbie King!

It is finally riding season. As chapter MAP coordinator, ithas been a long but productive winter. Four high school drivereducation class received GWRRA Distracted driving presenta-tions. I have been attending national MAP teleconferencemeetings. We have been sharing ideas to further enhance thenational and local MAP program.
The following activities are planned for the 2020 ridingseason (dependent on the virus outbreak):
1. Windshield wash – May 9th(Cancelled)
2. Several car shows to distribute literature and raise aware-ness
3. Placement of signage.
4. Tables at local festivals.
For now, stay healthy and safe while we combat the virus out-break.
