A Personal Emergency Response System (PERS) consists of a small “speaker phone” that connects to an AC power outlet. The cellular medical alarm requires no phone line or cell phone and can be used anywhere that has cellular coverage. It also comes with a Personal Help Button (PHB) which acts as a remote access to the system and can be worn on your wrist or on a necklace/lanyard around your neck. When you push the button, it activates the PERS and dials a predetermined access code and connects to the Care Center where the operator will respond immediately and ask if you need help. The cellular medical alarm is also compatible with FirstLight’s line up of fall detector buttons which detect a fall and automatically dial the Care Center for help. After our representatives have determined what (if any) assistance you need, they will call your responders to get you the assistance that you need. Using a Personal Emergency Response System from FirstLight allows you the freedom to call us whenever you want, day or night, even if it’s just to say that you are doing fine.
