Great Sadness;Great Sadness;Great Sadness;Great Sadness; It is great sadness to announce the passing of Florence Mac Queen the mother of Art Mac Queen, Grand- mother of Ashley &Mark Mac Queen. We the Directors of Cape Breton Western Riders wish to pass on Condolences to all the Mac Queen family on behalf of all our members.

Gentleman Missed!!;Gentleman Missed!!;Gentleman Missed!!;Gentleman Missed!!; Mark Mac Guire was admitted to Hospital just before Cape Breton Ex. Due to a burst appendix .This was according to his father Pat Mac Guire to be Marks first time to miss an Exhibition , since he & his brother first started showing pet chickens then changing to horses. Well from the Directors of C.B.W.R. on behalf of our members , we all wish Mark a very speedy recovery and a quick return to our shows!!!

Hi Everyone, One last email from me (for a little while, anyway :). The Natural Horsemanship Clinics Level 1 and Level 2 were a success! Lots of fun was had by all and many things learned (myself included :). Ceci Flanagan Snow was on hand to take some pictures and interview Glenn, so watch for it in your next issue of Horse and Pony! There was a crowd every day to watch the clinics unfold, and progress was made by each participant each day. By the third day, all participants were riding in a halter and lead rope or hackamore! It was amazing to see the changes in the horses, and watching them respond to the lightest touch in three days! It was undeniably noted that the possibilities with Natural Horsemanship are endless; no matter what discipline you are in! One lunch hour in the Level 1 was dedicated to a group discussion about horses, natural horsemanship, and why Glenn Stewart is no longer endorsed by Parelli. It was unanimously agreed upon by all participants and spectators that Glenn is much better off being on his own; and so are participants as far as being able to learn that much more! After all, it's about horsemanship, not a name. So never say never, I guess...........I thought this might be Glenn's last clinic in the Maritimes, but I was surprised by the number of requests to host another set of clinics next year! I have decided to host another one IF there is enough interest. I have checked into a location for next year, and I am VERY EXCITED to announce that the location will be the Princess Louise Park Show Center in Sussex, NB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is fabulous facility, which boasts a 90 x 200 indoor arena, PA system so everyone can hear, full washroom and shower facilities, trailer hookups with water and electricity, just to name a few!!!!! Check out their website at http://www.plpshowcentre.com/. There are several places for lodging, including a bed and breakfast just 5 minutes walking distance from the show center. So back to the clinic- I need a minimum of at least 8 participants in each clinic. Therefore, the decision to book Glenn for another clinic will be based on how many people are interested, which is in the form of a deposit of $300.00. If I don't have enough people interested (and sending me deposits) then I will be unable to host another clinic. Please let me know by November 15th if you are interested! Don't wait for everyone else to send in their deposit- if you would like to see Glenn come back to the Maritimes now is your chance! I would like to thank everyone that came out to audit the clinics and showing your support. It was great to see you all! A Lost Friend!;

We would like to thank Bobby Mac Donald for allowing our entire family to enjoy over 8 years

of many magical memories and tons of treasured times with one great pony.

With her heart of gold, loveable personality, versatility, her honest and willing effort, Cassie quickly

became a star with the Mac Neils and three generations of Ratchford clan. She was Haley and Kate’s

best friend, Poppy’s pet ,and Grammy’s baby (thanks guys for all your love, support and help). She was

a source of adventure, passion and friendship for our children, nieces and friends. She encouraged many

to develop an interest and a love for riding and racing. She was always there for all riders; big and small,

young, and old, experienced and green.

After 6 tumbles, Tom Burt said to Haley, “You have to fall off at least 7 times before you’re a real cowboy”.

Cassie provided the Mac Neil girls these “real cowboy experiences” along with confidence, happiness and a

love that only a girl and her pony can understand.

We will miss you, forever Cassie. You’re the best.
