the Scripture and sermon of the day. Contact Mike at
[email protected] for more info or just come join the
discussion.
Do you feel God has been calling you to lead a Book Study group or
a Bible Study group? Or maybe you feel called to lead and join a small
group? If you would like to step out in faith and answer that call
please contact: [email protected]
Are you interested in "reaching
new people" with God's love and developing relationships in the
community outside of the church? There will be a brief one hour meeting this Monday May
4th 6:00 - 7:00 PM at the Starbucks at Fashion Square Mall. Come find
out about the mission!
During the month of May, the Outreach & Missions Team will be
collecting food items for the Emergency Food Network. EFN provides a 3-day food supply to individuals and families in the
Charlottesville-Albemarle area who find themselves in an emergency
without food. Monetary donations are also welcome. If you would like
to make a monetary donation, please make your check payable to
Aldersgate United Methodist Church, note "Emergency Food Network" on the memo line and
place it in the offering plate.

The Lord's Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy Name. Thy Kingdom come,
thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the
kingdom, the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.
Music During Communion We Believe Youth Praise Band
Proof of Your Love Prayer after Communion Adam Blalock Eternal God, we give you thanks for this holy mystery in which you have given yourself to us. Grant that we may go into the world in the strength of your Spirit, to give ourselves for others, in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. *Closing Hymn Made to Love Youth Praise Band

Last year we started what, we hope, will become an awesome annual tradition! So here's to year number two!
As Youth Group wraps up for the year we invite all youth, siblings, family, friends, church members, community members, etc. to join us for an end-of-the-year potluck at Aldersgate UMC on Sunday, May 17th in the Reed Room. Following the potluck (which begins at 5pm) the Youth Praise Band will perform a concert in the Sanctuary, blessing us with all the songs they've worked so hard on over the past year. This is also a great time to bring those 5th graders who will be moving into the Youth Group next year so they can get to know the awesome young folks they'll be hanging out with soon!
For the potluck - please bring a main dish, side dish, or dessert to share. Drinks and paper products will be provided.

stimulate lots of good discussion. Myron Ripley and Jeanne Hamlin
