Over the years, Hirschfeld has grown into one of the largest fully integrated fabricators

of highly engineered structural steel components in North America. Headquartered in

San Angelo, Texas, we fabricate more than 100,000 tons of steel annually and serve a

wide range of end markets including transportation infrastructure, industrial development,

commercial construction and power generation. Our ten facilities give us a national

presence, an industry-leading footprint, and the ability to deliver products quickly.

of choice in the Nuclear Industry. A Quality Assurance Program has been developed and

implemented that satisfies:

Hirschfeld has successfully performed work that required ABS and DNV classifications.

Our capable personnel, multiple modern fabrication facilities, and in-house trucking/shipping

company have had recent success for DOE and NRC Nuclear projects. Our Enterprise

Resource Planning (ERP) software, including bar coding, provides managers the tools to

monitor, report and control manufacturing activities during all stages of Engineering,

Fabrication and Delivery.

Entering the wind energy market requires the right timing and the right partner. And that’s

exactly why Hirschfeld Industries has joined forces with Martifer Energy Systems to create

Martifer-Hirschfeld Energy Systems LLC, a company to serve the wind power sector.

Martifer-Hirschfeld Energy Systems combines Hirschfeld’s expertise in infrastructure

manufacturing and Martifer Group’s expertise in producing towers, coverings and gearboxes

for wind turbines, all at a time when the demand for wind-driven energy is growing. In the

beginning, the companies joined forces in 2009 to develop a factory in San Angelo, Texas.

This 40-million-dollar, state-of-the-art facility has the capacity to produce 400 towers a

year by the year 2013.

Our partner, Martifer Energy Systems, is based in Oliveira de Frades, Portugal, and is part

of the Martifer Group, which is active in metallic construction, energy systems, electricity

generation, wind farm construction and biofuels in more than 20 countries worldwide. They

have been active in the North American market since 2007.

significant benefit for our customers. Due to the difficulties inherent in transporting large

steel structures, third-party transportation providers struggle to deliver fabricated components

Technical Services, acquired by Hirschfeld in 1998, performs these services for our clients in

the U.K. and continental Europe. Since it was founded in 1976, the firm has developed a

proven track record of success detailing designs for stadiums, commercial buildings, high-rise

office buildings, hotels, and convention centers, as well as industrial and manufacturing plants.

To ensure the highest levels of precision, Consteel’s detailing team is made up of fully

qualified draftsmen with a wealth of experience in structural design, detailing and steelwork

fabrication. Using the latest software programs, including TEKLA Structures, AutoCAD and

our own in-house proprietary software, they create precision drawings that meet or exceed
