IS IT POSSIBLE TO BE A RADICAL HEALTHY CHURCH BUILDER?

DEFINITION OF A HEALTHY CHURCH

Can a church be considered healthy if the majority of the members are not growing in spiritual maturity and becoming more like Christ?

Eph 4:12-13so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all…become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

Can a church be considered healthy if most of their members are not trusting in God’s grace and forgiveness?

Eph 2:8For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith

Can a church be considered healthy if the majority of members are not growing in their love for God, their knowledge of God’s Word & faithful prayer?

2 Tim 2:15, 1 Thess 5:17

Can a church be considered healthy if the majority of the members are not growing in their love for one another?

1 Thess 4:10And in fact, you do love all the brothers throughout Macedonia. Yet we urge you, brothers, to do so more and more.

Can a church be considered healthy if many of the members have unresolved conflicts toward others?

Can a church be considered healthy if most of the families are not helping most of their children become Christians and be faithful to their commitment to Christ?

Or if the majority of kingdom kids are not wanting to have a marriage like they see in mom & dad?

Can a church be considered healthy if a minority of members are doing the majority of the work?

Eph 4:16From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.

Can a church be considered healthy if most of their members have no desire to become servant-leaders in some capacity?

Can a church be considered healthy if most of the members are not reaching out to the lost and involved in any studies with non-Christians for an entire year?

Can a church be considered healthy if there is consistent mistrust of the full-time staff by the many of the members?

Can a church be considered healthy if there is a noticeably inconsistent attendance at the meetings of the Body?

Can a church be considered healthy if most of their members are inconsistent and unsacrificial in their financial contributions?

Can a church be considered healthy if most of their members are not full of gratitude and excitement about what God is doing in the church?

Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. 30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God,

Can a church be considered healthy if most of their members are not humble and responsive to the correcting, rebuking, and encouraging preaching of the Word?2 Tim 4:2-4

Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage-with great patience and careful instruction. 3 For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Can a church be considered healthy if most of the members seem to treat the worship services more like concerts with mediocre congregational singing?

Eph 5:19-20Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord,

Can a church be considered healthy if the church is not baptizing an increasing # of people?

Can a church be considered healthy if the church is not growing numerically year after year?

Can a church be considered healthy if there is a growing fringe of people who are not involved in the body life of the church (only Sun morning)?

Can a church be considered healthy if the leaders don’t dare boldly call the members to greater faith and outreach?
