Lynnes Welding Training Teaches The Skills That Build

Your Welding Confidence! Our courses provide the foundation needed to make sound welds in the work environment. Students will develop a working knowledge of welding techniques, equipment setup and operations. A hands-on approach is used so that the focus and practice is emphasized directly on welding, cutting applications, applied metallurgy, blueprint reading and safety. Our training courses are designed to serve the needs of many individual skill levels, from beginner to advanced welder.

Topics covered in typical welding course:• Safety practices and hazards in welding and

oxyacetylene cutting.• Weld troubleshooting and equipment setup.• Techniques for making various welds in all positions.• Explanation of welding symbols.• Blueprint reading.• Criteria for the selection of various electrodes.• Other topics are designed to class type.• Plasma cutting techniques.

GMAW-MIG Gas Metal Arc Welding120 Hr. Course

Learn to perform production and maintenance welding on mild steel including high-volume fabrication, repair and assembly.

Upon successful completion of the course you should be:• Diversified in the GMAW welding process• Able to understand some of the different wires and shielding gasses• Able to perform a fillet and groove weld in all positions• Able to read blueprints and understand the different welding symbols

GTAW-TIG Gas Tungsten Arc Welding120 Hr. Course

Learn to perform production and maintenance welding on mild steel, stainless steel and aluminum.

Upon successful completion of the course you should be:• Diversified in the GTAW welding process• Weld positions on edge, corner, lap and t-joints• Able to perform a fillet weld in all positions• Able to read blueprints and understand the different welding symbols

SMAW-Stick Shielded Metal Arc Welding 120 Hr. Course

Learn to perform bridge code welds and other related structural work, plus reading of welding symbols. This course also prepares you for the pipe welding program.

Upon successful completion of the course you should be:• Diversified in the SMAW welding process• Able to perform a fillet and groove welds in most positions• Able to perform bridge code welds and other related structural work• Able to read blueprints and understand the different welding symbols

Welding Program Courses120 Hr. (3 weeks), 200 Hr. (5 weeks), 480 Hr. (12 weeks)

Pipe Welding 5 Week – 200 Hr. Course (Stick or TIG)

Choose a process: SMAW-Pipe Process: Learn proper techniques and electrode selection for welding pipe to meet ASME (vertical-up) welding code. You will be welding with E6010 & E7018 electrodes. Prerequisites: Must have 3G or 4G certification with E6010 and E7018 electrodes or will be required to weld sample tests before being permitted to start the course. Successful completion of our 80 Hr. SMAW-Stick course qualifies.

GTAW-Pipe Process: Learn proper techniques, filler metal and shielding gas selection for welding carbon steel pipe to meet ASME (vertical-up) welding code. Prerequisites: Must have 3G or 4G certification on carbon steel or will be required to weld sample tests before being permitted to start the course. Successful completion of our 80 Hr. GTAW-TIG course qualifies.

The Pipe Welding courses include blueprint reading instruction and pipe layout for pipe fitters and welders.

Upon successful completion of the course you should be:• Diversified in the SMAW-Pipe OR GTAW-Pipe welding process on

mild steel.• Equipped with the skills for the 6G weld test to ASME & AWS

standards.• Able to read blueprints and understand the different welding symbols.
