The Council brings together government leaders, diplomats, academia, business leaders, and the media through these platforms. The Council was founded to operate in partnership with Miami-area organizations, and in collaboration with fellow World Affairs Council chapters in the U.S. and abroad, with a dedicated focus on Miami as an international center and bridge to Latin America.

Latin-American Presidential Mission is an association of 20 former heads of state committed to greater regional integration, effective and transparent governance, and sustainable and equitable development. It was launched at the Global Peace Convention in Atlanta, USA in November 2012. The Mission was founded by the Global Peace Foundation in collaboration with the Paraguay Institute for Development of Thought, the Esquipulas Foundation of Guatemala and the Leadership Conference of Uruguay (LCU).

Global Peace Foundation (GPF) is a leading international non-profit organization that promotes a values-based approach to building sustainable peace and development at the community, national, and regional levels. Each year, GPF reaches more than 235,000 people through our projects and programs in 24 countries across Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas, thanks to our strong field network. GPF convenes and implements development projects and conferences on grassroots peacebuilding, education, entrepreneurship, and youth leadership development.
