Education is important not only for

the development of one's personality but

also for the sustained growth of the nation.

Education has continued to evolve, expand

and diversify its coverage since the dawn of

human civilization. Every child has its own

individual inherent talent which demand

proper nurturance and appropriate environment to develop. An

important aspect which plays a greater role in child's learning is

his/her 'Emotional Intelligence'. Learning is systematic,

deliberate and planned effort of the development of human to the

maximum. The authentic education addresses the "Whole Child"

the "Whole Person."

Change is the law of nature. Students need to remain

adaptive to a fast-changing environment, Jobs, Skills, Scientific

ideas and technology are all in a state of flux. It is important to

remain open-minded about new skills and retain the state of

receptivity. Regarding this purpose B.N.S. School, Kursato,

The purpose of education is to bring

out the innate and the hidden talent of a child.

This can be accomplished under the

guidance of trained and scientifically oriented

teachers in a serene school atmosphere by

providing varied experiences. To develop

healthy climate in school positive attitude and

positive thinking among the staff and students is needed. Quality

of education is the measure of creation of life long learning on

which all future learning depends. It is characterized by the

quality of contents, transactional strategies and judicious

evaluation of curricular and co-curricular achievements besides

skill like reasoning, creativity, lateral thinking and other

personality traits. Keeping the same in view B.N.S. Shikshan

Sansthan has started B.N.S. School at Kursato, Chaukhandi on

July 9, 2008 amidst superb stiff competition.

Since very beginning we have made attempts to provide

quality for education at an affordable rate using audio-visual aids

and other modern means of learning as well as evaluation.

Initiatives have been taken for all round development of the

students personality through assessment in scholastic as well as

co-scholastic aspects. Learners are provided eco-friendly

environment in which they would feel free from fear and stress

ADMISSION PROCEDURE1. The school admits children from L.K.G. to class IX & class XI only

after the child has been duly tested and found fit for.

2. A student has to face written and oral tests before admission.

3. Written test includes 100 marks questions from the subjects Hindi,

English, Math for U.K.G. & Hindi, English, Math, Science, EVS & Social

Science for classes I onwards, while oral test will be taken for L.K.G.

4. The original document in support of the date of birth must be

produced by the parents at the time of admission in the school.

5. Students coming from other school must produce photo copy of

marksheet of last appeared examination and a Transfer Certificate

from the school last attended, at the time of admission.

6. For students coming from any school outside Varanasi district the

transfer certificate must be countersigned by the Educational

Authorities of that district.

TRANSPORT

1. The school provides transport by its own buses which serve almost

all part of local area.

2. Transport charges depend on the distance and will be charged extra.

LEAVE RULES 1. A student can avail maximum 2 days leave in a month if granted.

2. In case of ungranted leaves or excess leaves a student has to pay

EXAMINATIONS AND PROMOTIONS1. There will be 3 Evaluation (for LKG to V), 3 Unit Tests and

Annual/Board Examination (for class VI to X) in an academic year.

2. For the classes VI to X syllabus for assessment will be of 100 marks. The weightage of marks will be given as Board/Annual Examination for 80 marks in each subject covering 100% syllabus in all the subjects. Students have to secure 33% marks out of 80 marks in each subject.

3. Internal Assessment will be of 20 marks. It will cover Periodic Written Test/Unit Test (10 Marks), Notebook Submission (5 Marks) and Subject Enrichment Activity (5 Marks). Periodic Test/Unit Test is restricted to three in each Academic year. Average of the best two tests is to be taken for final marks submission. Students have to secure 33% marks out of overall 20 marks in each subject.

4. Unit Test-I will be conducted in the end of July and will cover 30% syllabus. Unit Test II will be conducted in the end of October and will cover 30% Syllabus of Unit Test-I + Complete Syllabus covered after Unit Test-I. Unit Test -III will be held in the first week of January and will cover 10% Syllabus of Unit Test-I + 30% Syllabus of Unit Test-II + Complete Syllabus covered after Unit Test-II.

5. Subject Enrichment Activity includes Speaking and Listening Skill in Hindi & English, Practical Lab work in Science, Lab Practical in Maths, Map and Project work in Social Science.

6. For Classes L.K.G. to V Evaluation scheme will be according to the rating scales issued by CBSE.

7. Promotion of a student to next class will be determined on the basis of his/her yearly performance.

8. Decision of the Principal, regarding promotions will be final.

9. A student will not be allowed to sit for any main examination if his/her fees are in arrears as per schedule of the school, mentioned in Fee-Card as well as his/her attendance is below 75%.

SOME GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS1. Parents are required to send their children to school in neat and

clean school uniform.

2. Students along with their class teachers are required to attend school prayer punctually and regularly.

3. Students must bring their prescribed text-books and stationary to school according to their daily class Time-Table.

4. Students are expected to be courteous, friendly, loyal, obedient, respectful, tolerant and upright at all times in and out side the school.

5. Students are required to attend school and all its functions neatly dressed in the prescribed uniform unless permitted otherwise.

6. Regular payment of fees as per schedule will help us to avoid any unpleasantness at the time of Examination or when the promotion/results are declared.

7. Students must develop the habit of reading to widen their knowledge and to keep pace with the fast changing knowledge. Good books, magazines, journals, periodicals etc. are available in the school library for the students to read in the school or borrow as rules.

8. Students are expected to take care of their books and personal belongings. It is advisable not to bring money, mobile phones and other valuable articles to school.

9. The school is not responsible for articles or money transactions between students.

10. Students must take care of the school property. Electric lights, Fans and taps should be turned off when not in use.

11. Any damage to the building, furniture, equipment, apparatus, books etc. will be punishable offence. Students will be charged fine regarding this.

12. Schedule of depositing tuition/transport and other fees is mentioned in Fee-card.

13. A student has to pay the transport charges, tuition fee for the whole year even in the case he/she leaves it in the middle of a session.

14. A student has to pay fine for absence if leave for absence is not granted by the principal.

15. Bringing/use of mobile phone in school campus is strictly prohibited. Any violation will lead to seizer & penalty of Rs. 250/-. granted by the principal.

LABORATORY RULES1. Do not enter the lab without lab - coat.

2. Keep silence in the laboratory.

3. Keep your apparatus, table and note-book clean.

4. Add reagents in proportionate amounts.

5. Keep the reagents stoppered, do not change the stoppers of the

bottles. Do not disturb the arrangement on the shelves.

6. Do not shift the bottles from the common shelf.

7. Throw broken glass pieces, used match stick, used filter paper etc. in

the waste box and not in the sink.

8. Do not throw hot and concentrated acids in sinks.
