Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church extends a cordial welcome to all our visitors at Sunday and daily Masses.

The Parish invites you to become a member of our church. Registration is necessary to receive the Sacraments; Baptism, Confirmation, Marriage, and Funeral.

Individual Masses for your loved ones, as well as Quinceañeras, can be scheduled also.

La Iglesia Catolica Blessed Sacrament extiende una cordial bien-venida a todos nuestros visitantes a las Misas dominicales y a las misas diarias.

La parroquia te invita a ser miembro de nuestra iglesia. La registracion es necesaria para recibir los Sacramen-tos; Bautismo, Confirmación, Matrimo-nio y funeral.

También se pueden programar misas individuales para sus seres queridos, así como quinceañeras.

COMUNIDAD EVANGELIZADORA FAMILIA EVANGELIZADORA

Los esposos y padres cristianos son llamados a acoger la palabra del Señor, que les revela la admirable novedad – la Buena Noticia- de su vida conyugal y familiar, hecha por Cristo santa y santificadora. En efecto, solamente a la luz de la fe pueden descubrir ellos a qué dignidad ha elevado Dios el matrimonio y la familia, constituyéndolos signo de la alianza de amor entre Dios y los hombres, entre Jesucristo y la Iglesia, su esposa. Por eso, lo mismo que la lglesia universal, la pequeña lglesia doméstica necesita “ser evangelizada continuamente. Necesita una educación permanente en la fe” [51] ¿Cómo podrá una familia cristiana vivir à la altura de su misión si sus lecturas e informaciones se reducen al periódico y a la televisión? La familia necesita absolutamente el alimento permanente de la Palabra de Dios; necesita escuchar la pre-dicación del Evangelio, leer la Biblia y otros libros cristia-nos, pues «no sólo de pan vive el hombre sino de toda pala-bra que sale de la boca de Dios» (Mt 4,4). Una familia vive cristianamente cuando se procura el alimento del espíritu con tanto o más empeño que el alimento del cuerpo. En la medida en que la familia cristiana acoge el Evan-gelio, se hace comunidad evangelizadora. “Dentro de una familia consciente de esta misión (dice Pablo VI) todos sus miembros evangelizan y todos son evangelizados (Evangelii nuntiandi 71, 1976)”. La futura evangelización depende en gran parte de la Iglesia doméstica La absoluta necesidad de la catequesis familiar surge con especial fuerza en determinadas situaciones: en los lu-gares donde una legislación antirreligiosa pretende impedir la educación en la fe, o ha penetrado el secularismo hasta hacer casi imposible una verdadera creencia religiosa. En esos lugares, o donde no hay sacerdotes, la Iglesia domésti-ca es el único ámbito donde los niños y los jóvenes pueden recibir una auténtica catequesis (52) El ministerio de evangelización de los padres es original e insustituible, y toma les formas típicas de lo vida familiar, hecha de amor y sencillez, concreción y testimonio coti-diano. Es una catequesis hecha en la cocina, en el coche, pasando delante de una iglesia, visitando un enfermo, curan-do al hijo una herida o explicándole que debe perdonar una ofensa... Todas las ocasiones son oportunas para esta educa-ción cristiana familiar. Iglesia doméstica esta llamada a ser un signo luminoso de Cristo para los alejados, para las fami-lias que no creen todavía, y para las familias cristianas que no viven ya según la fe que recibieron. Por último, "las familias cristianas contribuyen particu-larmente a la obra misionera de la Iglesia, cultivando la vo-cación misionera en sus propios hijos e hijas y, de modo más general, educándolos en el conocimiento del amor que tiene Dios a todos los hombres. ¿Que hemos de hacer para que nuestros hijos sean evan-gelizados en el hogar, en la catequesis, en el centro escolar? ¿Nos damos cuenta de que la evangelización futura de-penderá en gran parte de las familias cristianas?

¡Que Dios bendiga la Evangelización en nuestra Parroquia!

CHRIST IN OUR LIFE

C L Few passages show so clearly the charac-ter of Jesus’ Lord-ship. Jesus is power-ful and wise with God’s own power and wisdom, and yet he puts himself com-pletely at the service of others. He calls on

his followers to put their faith in him not for his own self-aggrandizement or self-satisfaction, but for the sake of their salvation – in order to put them in a right relationship with God, so that they can experience fullness and meaning in life. Thus he heals the woman with a hemorrhage; he raises Jairus’ daughter from the dead; he never once denies a request made of him with a sincere and humble faith. He is a Lord at the service of his subjects, just as we who are his followers must lead others into the Kingdom not by coercing them, but by serving them. Christian leaders are servant-leaders, mere stewards in God’s houseful of invited guests.

C T “Do not be afraid; only have faith.” If we really learned this one lesson, it would revolutionize our lives. Do not be afraid of what other people will think of you: follow the way of Christ.

C F The woman with the hemorrhage knew that if she could only touch Jesus’ cloak she would be healed. She had the same amount of faith before she touched the cloak as afterwards. So why didn’t God cure her without her having to touch him? And why did Jesus go all the way to Jairus’s house and take the little girl by the hand in order to bring her back to life? Why not just do it from a distance? It is because God wants to be close to us; he wants to live in friendship with us. And since we are human beings, that closeness, that friendship requires not only spiritual contact, but physical contact as well.

C M L I know people whose souls are sick and dying because they need you in their lives. Please open their hearts to your grace, and make me a bold and gentle ambassador to them of your truth and love…

Thank you for the gift of your Church and all the spiritu-al riches therein. You are always thinking of me, and al-

ways coming into my life in one way or another.

Open my eyes to see more clearly your presence and action in my life, and increase my faith, so that the power

of your grace will touch me where I need it most.

Increase our faith, Lord, so that we can see things as you do, and always rejoice in whatever trial you

may send us...

Christ came to bring hope, peace, and salva on to the world. As bap zed Catholics, we are all called to share Christ in our daily life. The Evangeliza on is real-ized through announcing the Good News to those who have never heard of Christ (called missio ad gentes, the mission to the na ons), engaging in ongoing catechesis, and “re-proposing” the Gospel to those who, although bap zed, have dri ed away from the Church. By deepening our rela onship with Christ and experi-encing his love, we renew our faith as disciples in a com-munity of believers, grow in confidence in the truth of the Gospel, and then share our faith in Jesus Christ joy-fully with others. The Evangeliza on invites all Catholics to see the world as an opportunity to bring people to Christ and to grow closer to Christ themselves.

Every bap zed person is called to be a disciple of Christ and proclaim the Gospel. While this task may seem daun ng, the Church—through the sacraments—provides us with the grace and resources necessary to

be evangelizers in our local communi es. And remember, living the everyday moments of our lives with faith, hope, and love is the most effec ve way to share our faith with others. This witness is what is needed in our parishes in or-der to reach our families, friends, neighbors, and colleagues. The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) Cristo vino a traer esperanza, paz y salvación al mundo. Como católicos bau zados, todos estamos llamados a compar r a Cristo en nuestra vida diaria. La evangelización se realiza anunciando las Buenas Nuevas a aquellos que nunca han escuchado hablar de Cristo (llamado missio ad gentes, la misión a las naciones), par cipando en una catequesis con nua y "proponiendo" el Evangelio a quienes, aunque bau za-dos, se han alejado de la Iglesia. Al profundizar nuestra relación con Cristo y experimentar su amor, renovamos nuestra fe como discípulos en una comunidad de creyentes, crecemos en la confianza en la verdad del Evangelio y luego compar mos nuestra fe en Jesucristo alegremente con los demás. La Evangelización invita a todos los católicos a ver el mundo como una opor-tunidad para acercar a las personas a Cristo y acercarse a Cristo.

Todo bau zado está llamado a ser un discípulo de Cristo y proclamar el Evangelio. Este tes monio es lo que se necesita en nuestras parroquias para llegar a nuestras familias, amigos, vecinos y colegas.
