Brand PhilosophyOver the last two decades, BIC Sport has made surfing a sport possible for tens of thousands of surfers by offering a range of quality boards at very reasonable prices. This is true as much in the design and shaping of the boards as in their construction. BIC Sport surf boards have been developed by big name shapers whose experience has assured that the desired performance is both respected and delivered. They then go into production, copies produced by our unique factory machines that themselves are constantly being improved and updated. Our brand new range, the E-Comp Gloss, with superb build and finish quality and unrivaled reliability, is a perfect example of these technical innovations.

BIC Sport surf boards suit riders of any skill level : from the pro rider looking for high performance, reliability and light weight, through to the complete beginner looking for stability, easy paddling and strength. 5’10’’ Fish Dynamic performance! The versatile Pocket Rocket is renowned as the ideal first surfboard for grommets as much as it regarded as an excellent small-wave board for accomplished surfers of approximately 45-70kg. Truly reflecting its name, the Pocket Rocket is a dynamo that offers the stability and buoyancy of a longboard with the manoeuvrability of a shortboard packing a lot of volume into its short length. The secret is its short, fat design that incorporates a wide nose and tail, allowing the Pocket Rocket to catch waves early for a board of its size. While suitable for small children just starting out, it nonetheless packs a punch when ridden by a more experienced surfer.

6’7’’ Shortboard Up your surfing performance with the 6’7’’ Shortboard! Looking for a board that will accelerate through cut-backs, off-the-lip and mid-face manoeuvres? You’ll be stoked with the new heights that this performance driven, durable, shortboard will take you. Intermediate surfers agree it’s the perfect first shortboard, advanced surfers will find this a reliable board across a wide range of wave sizes and conditions. Smaller kids will love the 6’7” as it offers plenty of board to get them going as its standard shortboard dimensions have been slightly increased to cater to more of a beginner/intermediate market.

7’3’’ Mini Malibu No wonder this is the world’s single best selling surfboard! The Mini-Malibu (or Wahine model for girls) is the perfect all rounder. A fabulous entry-level board for new surfers, it features a refined combination of stability for ease of paddling and enough performance to make it a fun board for the more advanced surfer. Versatile and a joy to ride, the Mini-Malibu / Wahine surfboard will take you from your first ever surfing experience through to gliding down the unbroken wave face or ripping up the lip! Durable enough to survive learn-to-surf wipeouts that leave other boards on the beach, this low-cost board will bring you hours of fun on a great range of wave conditions.

Durable polyethylene outer shell

Fully integrated FCS fin boxes

Construction Technique:ACS surfboards are created using a moulded polyethylene shell filled with polyurethane foam which is found in a regular fibreglass surfboard. This means that your new surfboard will survive dings and damage that would see a fibreglass board out of the water requiring repairs!

7’9’’ Natural Surf 2 An updated design of an old favourite!Perhaps the most versatile of the ACS range, The Easy Rider is everything its names promises - an excellent combination of longboard stability and manoeuvrability, with just enough length to make it easy to control. Its user-friendly design provides ample floatation to catch all types of waves while the performance shape enables ‘down-the-line’ fun for first timers to advanced surfers. The Natural Surf 2 gives lightweights and smaller surfers an easy to carry, durable and stable “big-board” feel for starting out. However, heavier or bigger surfers will enjoy the mid-range length and proven performance for their transition to shorter boards and bigger surf conditions. Our original 7’9” Natural Surf gained a reputation for versatility, long-lasting and affordable surfboard – so we added subtle changes such as a nose-protector.

8’4’’ Magnum Learning to surf as an adult presents an exhilarating challenge – and the Magnum is up to it! Built to give performance to bigger surfers, the Magnum’s exceptional volume makes it easy to paddle and catch waves, no matter your size or ability. Offering its riders a fast learning curve, its mid-range length keeps it loose and fun in a wide range of surf conditions. Intermediate surfers will gain confidence and progress quickly by catching heaps of waves and easily turning this board through the faster sections of any break. This durable, ACS built, 8’4” Magnum surfboard will fuel your surfing addiction!

BIC Sport’s E-Comp Gloss (Epoxy Composite) construction technique produces a board that is approximately 30% more durable while being almost identical with regard to stiffness and weight when compared to a similar polyester constructed surfboard. The new Gloss finish provides an improved shiny finish similar to that of a custom polished surfboard, a better protection for the structure and graphic layout, and a increased seam protection, improving durability. To accommodate the needs of more advanced surfers, E-Comp Gloss surfboards provide shapes that not only suit the intermediate surfer, but also experienced riders who know how to ride a surfboard.

The process forms the top and bottom - (ASA) surfaces of the board over aluminium moulds. These formed surfaces are then pressed over a pre-shaped, lightweight EPS foam core, (the lightest surfboard foam available) which is covered in 6-oz fibre glass cloth and epoxy resin to give the board strength. This construction provides an extremely stiff, lightweight surfboard that is approx. 30% more durable than a standard polyester surfboard but almost identical with regard to its flex characteristics and weight.

Built with the durable E-Comp construction, the Classic Longboard will last you many years and through thousands of great surfs!

9’4’’ Nat Young The elder statesman’s choice When five times world champion Nat Young declares his respect for a particular longboard, you know it’s going to be exceptional. Designed by his long time surfing mate Darrell “Rooster” Dell, this 9’4” is Nat’s personal favourite – and it’s also the preferred longboard of many intermediate and experienced surfers who want a longboard that combines superb design, smooth wave entry and speed with exceptional manoeuvrability.Darrell’s 9’4’’ design is lightly concaved with conventional rocker through the nose, which then flows into a flattened area right below the rider in the paddling position to allow efficient paddling and smooth wave selection. From there it moves into a rolled V, pronounced under foot to provide easy and smooth rail to rail transitions. Managing to deftly combine the delicate combination of those two critical design factors ensures that the board is the ultimate in versatile surfing, with all the characteristics of regular construction with regard to weight and stiffness, and the sturdiness of E-Comp Technology.

10’0’’ Noserider Outstanding flexibility!Offering big volume for big riders, Bob Pearson poured over a quarter of a century’s shaping experience and devotion to longboarding into this refined 10’ longboard. Incorporating well-proportioned volume and excellent glide with outstanding noseriding design, it’s suitable for the surfing spectrum from absolute beginner through to seasoned campaigner. The 10’ Noserider is one of the easiest boards to paddle, its modern design ensures effortless and early wave entry, while its light and durable E-Comp construction makes it effortless to handle in and out of the water.

Soft boards

Strength and safety at every stage

The criteria for making a perfect soft surfboard are simple. You need suitable shapes and extreme durability, but transferring that design criteria into reality is where the simplicity stops. The G-Board gets about as close to those criteria as physically possible. G-Boards make learning to surf Easy & Safe.

The range is split into three categories:The G Boards Kid (ORANGE): our brand new board specially developed for children weighing less than 40kg.G Board Classics (RED): catering to the needs of the first-time board buyers who specifically want a soft surfboard at a reasonable price.G Board Original (BLUE): the original G Board with unbeatable durability. The Original range is designed for high wear & tear featuring a reinforced stringer to cope with the trying demands of commercial surf school use.

The BIC Surfboards now come equipped with FCS fins which guarantee increased performance. The following points will help you understand better how a fin works in the wave.

Fins

Inside Foil Technology (IFT)BIC Surf fins use the IFT technology. FCS Inside Foil Technology applies a sophisticated hydrodynamic foil to the

inside face of the fin. The rounded leading edge combined with the concaved inside face increases the efficiency of water flow over the surface of the fin. This adds lift and reduces drag to optimize performance over a greater variety of conditions. The result is more options through increased hold and speed.

Glass FlexGlass Flex has been formulated to replicate the flex and memory properties of laminated fiberglass. Its advantages over other composite fin materials include stiffness, a more positive flex pattern (nice tip flex, little base flex) and remarkable flex memory. The precision of the injection molding process ensures the highest accuracy in geometry in each fin is produced.

The FCS range suited to BIC Surf boards:You can modify your surfboard’s performance by changing the fins according to your style of surfing, your weight, and the kind of waves you surf on.

The new fins are kept secured by lateral pressure screws which block the two tabs at the base of the fin. This ensures very good rigidity at the base of the fin and allows direct shifting of your weight from one foot to the other during turns. Simply put: less flex at the base of the fin = increased drive.

ACS

ACS infos

Polyurethane watertight coreThe high density polyurethane foam core of ACS surfboards prevents them from losing shape when under pressure while limiting water absorption in the unlikely event that the skin becomes damaged.

High impact resistant SkinThe outer skin of all ACS surfboards is highly resistant to impact. Well suited to intensive use.

Nose BumpersAll ACS surfboards are equipped with additional nose bumpers, added protection against nose dives and impact.

Deck PadThe deck of the ACS padded surfboards is covered by a foam pad to provide grip, and eliminate the need for wax.

Powered by FCSAll ACS surfboards (except the ACS Padded) come with FCS fins. FCS fins have the largest range of fins and are the most widely available, meaning should you need new fins, they’re easy to find.

G-BOARDS infos

Soft waterproof cell coreG-Boards are made of polyethylene closed-cell foam. Durable, waterproof and highly shock-resistant, this structure guarantees long life and protects new surfers from possible injury from impact with the board.

Full deck padThe deck of the G-Boards is covered by a fine EVA foam coating which provides grip and is comfortable underfoot.

Slick-Skin BottomThe bottom of G-Boards is covered by a fine slick skin which gives the boards excellent glide while making them soft enough to avoid injury to surfers, should they come into contact with the board.

Soft Bumper RailsThe rails of G-Boards are made from soft, safe, EVA foam, providing excellent protection to not only surfers, but the internal core of the board.

Epoxy Fiberglass stringersTwin epoxy fiberglass stringers run internally from the nose to tail of all G-Boards. This “internal skeleton” provides G-Boards with the longitudinal strength required to work as designed and not bow or flex while surfing.

Safe Soft finsThe G-Boards come with soft fins which ensure good performance in the surf and prevent injury to the surfer in case of contact with the fins.

E-COMP infos

EPS waterproof cellular coreThe core of our E-Comp surfboards is made from closed cell EPS (Expanded Polystyrene). This ensures minimal water absorption should the shock-resistant skin be damaged.

Multi axial fiberglass structureMulti axial fiberglass provides an unbeatable weight to stiffness ratio, providing just the right amount of stiffness while keeping the weight down.

Shock-resistant skinAll E-Comp surfboards are made from a thermoformed composite material, providing an unbeatable strength to weight ratio.

Hand finished railsThe rails of E-Comp surfboards are hand finished to give the best possible finish.

Polished-over graphicsThe final layer on all E-Comp boards is a protective two-pack gloss enamel, preventing abrasion and deterioration from the sun’s harmful UV rays, ensuring E-Comp surfboards keep their new look and protecting the graphic elements of the board.

Gloss finishThe super hard two-pack enamel gives the E-Comp surfboards their gloss finish and lasting protection. Shock resistant and waterproof, the Gloss finish not only looks good but provides added durability.

Powered by FCSAll E-Comp surfboards (except the 10’0’’) come with FCS fins. FCS fins have the largest range of fins and are the most widely available. Meaning should you need new fins, they’re easy to find.

JUNGLE infos

Composite ASA skinThe skin of the Jungle is made of ASA and a glass fiber composite on a polystyrene shape which gives the board an excellent combination of durability without excessive weight.

Deck padThe deck of the Jungle is covered with an EVA foam coating which provides grip and is comfortable under foot.

Integrated carry handleThe Jungle is equipped with an integrated carry handle on its deck to make carrying the board easy.
