Coris BioConcept is a middle-sized company (SME) ISO certified (ISO 9001, ISO 13485) and specialized in developing, manufacturing and marketing rapid diagnostic tests distributed in morethan 60 countries over the world.
These tests are based on strip chromatography principle with the use of colloidal gold particles, latexmicrospheres or fluorescent dyes (ICT). Several technologies are patented: Gravity Driven Test (GDT)or V-Test, Oligochromatography (OC) and a multiplex molecular platform.
GDT device is a particular housing reversing to sense of the chromatography. OC allows fast detection of amplified DNA. The ICT range allow for detection of infectious diseases includingenteric pathogens and respiratory pathogens.
A new range of ICT products have been recently developed for detecting carbapenemase-producing Enterobacteriaceae (CPE). Five major parameters are targeted, i.e. OXA48, KPC, NDM,VIM and IMP.
Today OXA48 and KPC are already developed and are clinically validated. These lateral flow assays(OXA-48 & KPC K-SeT) detect specifically both OXA-48-like and KPC carbapenemases from bacterial colonies in less than 15 minutes.
