The red delicious apple is a clone

of apple Cultigens.

Now comprising more then 50

cultivars that was recognized in

Wellsburg ,Lowa , United States in

1880.

The Red Delicious was originated

at an orchard in 1880 as “a round

blushed yellow fruit as surpassing

sweetness”. 

Red Delicious is a medium-sized

apple, with a tall conical shape.

Red Delicious has a strong sweet

flavour, perhaps most reminscent

of slightly over-ripe melon.

It seems like it should be crisp andcrunchy, but it is generally too

soft. Golden Delicious, in com-parison, is much crisper but has ablander sweet flavour.

The reason I like Red Delicious apple is because it is ex-

cellent for eating fresh & salads: ; poor for backing . And

also it very delicious.
