Congratulations to all the
Double Platinum students.
YEAR 12 HOSPITALITY
Last week the Year 12 Hospitality class was involved in catering for the Year 6 Graduation
and Year 12 Formal. I would like to acknowledge the hard work and perseverance that this
wonderful group of students displayed, we worked very long hours and then some of the
students went to their part-time jobs and came back to school to serve the dinner on both
nights. These students displayed amazing skills and served our customers professionally
and I was very proud of the way that they interacted with the guests and also how well
they worked as a team.
Congratulations Year 12 for displaying a professional industry standard level of food and
customer service.

FAREWELL FROM MRS NOLTE As this is my last issue of “Scoop” I would like to take this opportunity thank the students and staff for the friendship, kindness and respect shown to me over the past 35 years. I have seen many staff and students pass through the school and have enjoyed working and learning with them all. I was honoured to receive recognition, and a medal for ‘School Service’ at Presentation Night on Thursday 15 December 2017. Batlow Technology School has been a great place to work and while I will miss all the students and staff, especially Fiona and the girls on the SASS staff, I feel the time is right for me to move into the next stage of my life where my husband and I can spend more time with our family and friends. Learning is a life-long experience, that doesn’t finish when you leave school or university. My advice to you all is to take on new challenges and embrace every opportunity to learn as much as you can throughout your life.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays
from the Staff and Students at
Batlow Technology School
