Since its establishment in 1994, Yayasan TSLSC has contributed over RM24 mil to help enrich thelives of the less fortunate through education and various community initiatives.

Yayasan TSLSC has been guided by the following objectives :∗ Advance the human capital development for the nation by awarding scholarships to brilliant

students and providing financial assistance to underprivileged students∗ Contribute towards community welfare and development∗ Contribute towards scientific research and teachings∗ Offer relief to the poor and needy who are affected by epidemics of disease, natural disasters or

other similar emergencies, by contributing to welfare and charitable organisations∗ Provide medical and surgical facilities and services for all kind∗ Provide medical or financial assistance to the needy who are disabled, poverty stricken or

critically ill

1. Promoting Education via Yayasan Tan Sri Lee Shin Cheng

a. Student Adoption Program- Yayasan TSLSC Program Anak Angkatb. Scholarship Awardsc. Young Achievers’ Awards

Yayasan TSLSC has been undertaking several initiatives to promoteeducation through:

The Student Adoption Programme was officially launched by the Deputy Minister ofEducation YB Dr. Wee Ka Siong in 2008 to provide underprivileged students withequal access to a good basic education as a platform to a brighter future. Since then,the programme has successfully benefited more than 721 school children from over196 primary and secondary schools across the nation.

Under this programme, each adopted child will receive financial assistance of RM800and a school bag each year until they complete their primary or secondary education.Through this programme, the Yayasan TSLSC hopes to sustain their educational needsand motivate them to excel in their studies while helping to ease their families’financial burdens.

students from 169 primary schooland secondary schools nationwideunder its annual Student AdoptionProgramme with contributionsamounting RM404,276.

Yayasan TSLSC aims to encourage, support and invest in qualified Malaysian youth inhigher education as part of the foundation’s contribution towards the development ofthe country.

Annually, Yayasan TSLSC awards scholarships to academically outstanding studentswho are pursuing full-time undergraduate studies related to our business nature atrecognised local institutions of higher learning in Malaysia. Upon graduation, they areprovided with career opportunities within IOI Group to gain professional experienceand enhance their skills in a leading global corporation.

To date, Yayasan TSLSC has granted more than RM3,000,000 worth of scholarships toall deserving students to realise their dreams of a brighter future.

b. Scholarship Awards

Yayasan TSLSC Scholarship Awards 2016/2016

The Young Achievers’ Awards was introduced by Yayasan TSLSC in 1999 to invigorateand motivate young students to strive for excellence in their studies. Cash awards,plaques and certificates of achievement are given out annually to reward brightstudents from primary to upper secondary levels who excel academically, possesshigh leadership qualities and who are active in their extra-curricular activities.

To date, Yayasan TSLSC has given more than RM300,000 worth of cash prizes to theyoung achievers since its inception.

∗ 20 June 2015∗ This year, a total of 75 students

received the Young Achievers’ Awards(YAA) from Yayasan Tan Sri Lee ShinCheng (Yayasan TSLSC) totallingRM34,400 in cash prizes, plaques andcertificates in recognition of theirexcellent results in UPSR, PT3, O-Levels,SPM, STPM, Matriculation Programmeand A-levels examinations. Awardsgiven also took into consideration thestudents’ active participation in extra-curricular activities.

2. Good Rapport with Resident Associations (RAs)

IOI Properties Group Berhad has continuously supported ResidentsAssociations (RA) and made concerted efforts to build good rapport withthe residents. Throughout many years, IOI Properties has supported RA’sactivities during festive seasons, community gatherings, social initiativessuch as gotong royong and local security tightening. We aim to have closebonds with and understand the needs of the communities which we build.

3. Building subsidized amenities for community

Amenities are crucial in creating a sustainable community. We have built numerousamenities in order to enhance the lifestyle of the residents living in the community.Not only to provide better lifestyle but to create more spaces to foster family bonding.We care about the well-being of the residents and the community as a whole. Amenitiessuch as the private clubhouses, themed gardens, public parks, bi-paths and many otheramenities has helped to create a better living for the community.

This clubhouse offers something for everyone in the family from thegymnasium, yoga deck to the 40m swimming pool. Other facilities suchas function hall and badminton courts are also made available. Other thanthe hardware, we also organize classes, training sessions and holidaycamps in the clubhouse .

One-Stop-Centre

∗ Upon handing over of keys,purchasers can make theirpayment, go through the handover briefing and collect theirkeys at our designatedCustomer Relations Unit (CRU)offices.

∗ Purchasers will be attended byour friendly CRU executive.

∗ Thereafter, the purchaser, CRUexecutive and a projectrepresentative will be at theproperty for a joint inspection.

IOI Service Champion

∗ IOI Service Champion Programmeis a campaign running everyquarterly to invite customers torate and comment on our service.

∗ Evaluations are carried out byassessing the IOI Comment Cardscollected in the public. While eachcard represents a vote casted byIOI valued customer, top scoresare based on the most‘Great/Exceptional’ ratingsreceived.
