blakeney is set in a designated area of Outstanding natural beauty - good country for fresh air and restorative walks. You’ll be away from the hurly burly of cities but within reach of all you need to live comfortably. In medieval times this was a bustling and prosperous port in a safe inlet on the north norfolk coast. today, the coastline has changed and blakeney is a smaller, peaceful harbour, frequented by a few fishermen and those who use their boats for leisure and pleasure while kids fish for crabs from the Quay.
the village has grown since those times to a thriving community of around 400 homes. Quaint flint cottages in narrow streets and hidden alleys slope down to the harbour and duck pond. spread out around the old centre are quietly comfortable houses in pretty gardens, with pleasant green spaces devoted to recreation and relaxation.
at the edge of this charming village is avocet view, a collection of twelve high quality new homes.

blakeney point is managed by the national trust, ensuring that the village’s unique surroundings are preserved for posterity. this beautiful spot is home to a vibrant living and working community with all the important facilities nearby.
the village centre is an easy walk from avocet view where you will find the community centre, playing fields, tennis courts and children’s playground that provide so much for families to do. active local clubs and societies have something to interest and entertain almost anyone.
a range of local shops offer produce from the sea and surrounding farms and all the essential basics of life. there’s a splendid choice of pubs, cafés and restaurants for refreshment and relaxation. excellent shopping can be found in the nearby market towns, easily reached by bus or car.
blakeney has excellent facilities for a village of its size, with a doctor’s surgery and post office as well as a primary school and pre-school, there is a good choice of secondary schools in easy reach.

the area is a great place to build a life with the ideal balance of rural relaxation and modern convenience. One day, you can wander alone along a sandy shore serenaded by seabirds whirling overhead; the next you can enjoy the bustle of nearby towns of holt or burnham market.
holt is home to art galleries, boutiques, fine food shops and good places to eat and drink. wells-next the-sea is a popular small seaside resort and shopping centre with an interesting mix of shops, galleries and attractions, whilst burnham market, with its georgian charm, attracts visitors from far away with its delightful shops, galleries, restaurants and market town ambience.
In many of the attractive villages along the coastline you will find charming pubs offering excellent local food, fish and chips shops serving the freshest locally caught fish, small food producers and farm shops offering good local food from the land and the sea – everything from fresh crab to new-picked asparagus.

for those who fancy something more active than strolling through the beautiful countryside, the coastline offers sailing, wind-surfing, fishing, golf courses and numerous sporting activities. many artists, writers and craftsmen are the basis of a thriving cultural scene that reaches into most towns and villages.
norwich boast theatres and cinemas and beautiful stately homes along the coast provide exquisite backdrops for musical events of all types.
for relaxation, work or play, north norfolk has much to boast about and avocet view is perfectly placed for you to take full advantage of everything this wonderful part of the world has to offer.

avocet view is a collection of twelve new homes available for private sale on the edge of blakeney, in an elevated position overlooking the coastal strip. these homes have been specifically designed to sit comfortably within this delightful environment and those located along the northern boundary may benefit from distant sea views.
the three, four and five bedroom properties are carefully built and landscaped, providing the ideal habitat for the families and for the wildlife that will live and thrive here. langham road is a quiet country road a short distance from the facilities of the village. set around courtyards to give a village feel and in keeping with the local architecture, brick and flintwork details have been used to reflect the features found on many of the older houses in the village. these are modern comfortable homes, created to the highest standards of quality and sustainability.
