PCA member and car builder Steve Barth from Los Angeles brought his replica of 356/1 to the Camarillo Breakfast. This very faithful reproduction of the original Porsche 356 prototype from 1948 was a huge crowd-pleaser. The mid-engined car was created on a Spyder replica frame. The attention to detail and quality of construction were evident throughout the car. Steve has built two of these beauties, and, naturally, they are for sale. Interested parties can contact Steve directly at [email protected]. We thank Steve for sharing this tribute car with us.

Promise yourself:To be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.

To talk health, happiness, and prosperity to every person you meet.To make all your friends feel that there is something in them.

To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.To think only of the best, to work only for the best, and to expect only the best.

To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own.To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.

To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile. To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others.

To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear,And too happy to permit the presence of trouble.

Dear Herr Auspuff,Our family just returned from a road trip that SBR members will appreci-ate - visiting the car factories and museums of Europe. Of course, the highlight of the trip was the Stuttgart visit to the Porsche Museum followed by the two-hour factory tour the next day. Our twenty-year-old son, Brendan (on the left), attended the Porsche Parade in Monterey when he was only eight-weeks old. A.J. (on the right), now 18, just graduated from Dunn School, and will study mechanical engineering focusing on, what else, cars!

All the best to our fellow PCA’ers!

Pam Goforth Doiron
