Have you ever considered becoming a member of the
choir? Have you thought about helping the choir sing to
lead music for Mass? Do you play an instrument or
percussion? Here at St. Michael’s, choir sings one weekend
a month (for both Saturday and Sunday Mass). We have a
practice on the Wednesday preceding our weekend to sing,
and then we come a bit early on Saturday before Mass.
Come and find out how it feels to make joyful music, to
lead our assembly in song- all for the Glory and Praise of
our Lord. Practice time begins at 6:00 pm on Wednesdays.
Our first practice date for this year’s choir is September
26th. Come to practice that evening and try it out! You
will love it! I know I do!

A Family Perspective ~ August 12th ~ 19th Sunday of Ordinary Time -- “Stop murmuring” Jesus told the disciples in today’s gospel. Complaining is a dead-end and constant complaining is nagging. We might feel better but others feel bitter. Silence or grumbling will not resolve the problem. Address differences honestly and respectfully. Don’t make them personal attacks

that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man has great power to prevail.” The Sacrament of Reconciliation
