• REDD KROSS is back and delivering their signature brand of genuine rock 'n' roll with a vengeance. On August 10, 2012 Shock Records will release 'Researching the Blues', the fi rst new album from REDD KROSS in 15 years.• 'Researching The Blues' features 10 new songs clocking in at just under 32 minutes. With songs written by Jeff and produced and mixed by Steven, the album is by far the band’s favorite record. Steve says, “It has the most singular artistic vision of any record we’ve done. It’s just 10 really fucking awesome songs that have the ability to move you in many different ways.”• After 6 critically acclaimed and much loved albums including 'Neurotica', 'Third Eye' and 'Phaseshifter', REDD KROSS return with 'Researching the Blues', which, like a pair of great pants, is tight and the perfect length.

• When it came time to record DELTA SPIRIT’s third album, the band members knew one thing: It was time to shake off the stylistic labels that have shadowed them since they formed in San Diego, CA, in 2005. Though lyricists Matt Vasquez and Kelly Winrich were grateful for the warm reviews that their previous albums 'Ode To Sunshine' (2008) and 'History From Below' (2010) received, they were perplexed at being called “rootsy Americana” or “twangy folk.” In their eyes, DELTA SPIRIT has always been a thoroughly modern rock band, and, with their self-titled new album, they set out to prove it.• “We found the sound that we've been looking for, that we've been growing into, and as soon as we hit on it, we ran with it,” Vasquez says. “That’s why it’s a self-titled record, so we could connect our identity with the album, because this album is what we think DELTA SPIRIT is. People make records for their time and we wanted to make one for our time. Just like novelists want to write the Great American Novel, we wanted to make a Great American Record. Not one about yesterday, but one about right now.”• To help them realize their vision, the band recruited producer Chris Coady (Yeah Yeah Yeahs, TV on the Radio, Beach House, and Smith Westerns, among others), and recorded the album at Dreamland – a converted church built in 1896 in Woodstock, New York. • Formed in 2005, the Christian group from Sioux City, Iowa is one of the metalcore movement’s most popular acts. They have found a passionate audience with their blend of face-ripping vocals, tech-heavy guitar parts, towering choruses and fervent lyrics. Sure, other groups are trying to pull off a similar formula, but no one is doing it better than For Today.• ' Immortal', FOR TODAY’s fourth album and fi rst for Razor & Tie, was produced by Will Putney (Lamb of God, Suicide Silence) who also manned the boards on their 2010 Breaker album. “At this point, Will is almost like another member of the band.• He knows our sound better than anyone else out there and doesn’t take any crap from us,” laughs Montgomery. The album also features three guest artists: Sonny Sandoval from P.O.D. on “The Only Name,” Jake Luhrs from August Burns Red on “Set Apart,” and Tommy Green from Sleeping Giant on “Under God.” For Today’s three previous albums – 'Ekklesia' (2008), 'Portraits' (2009) and the aforementioned 'Breaker' – have sold more than 75,000 copies, combined.

• NATHAN ELLIS' (The Casket Lottery) strips away the distortion on his solo debut, revealing a vulnerable and raw side that runs a gamut of emotions while showcasing his incredible ability as a singer-songwriter. Heartfelt and atmospheric, Ellis draws on his previous efforts on his self-titled EP, which features three tracks, "Balance Beam," "Orion Too" and "The Comedians," which was written by Elvis Costello and covered by Roy Orbison.

• Twenty-one-year-old Dylan spent most of his youth in Fame Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama (previously home to greats such as Otis Redding, Aretha Franklin, Wilson Pickett and Etta James). Fame’s head, Rick Hall, signed Dylan to its publishing arm as soon as he was legally of age to do so - eighteen. Part of the deal was that Dylan got access to the studio, where he recorded both his debut album ‘Pauper’s Field’ (2010) and the bulk of the forthcoming follow-up ‘Cast The Same Old Shadow’ which was then completed in New Orleans.• Co-produced by Dylan and Grammy award-winning engineer Trina Shoemaker (Queens of the Stone Age, Sheryl Crow, Emmylou Harris), the album has a highly adventurous, cinematic feel. Dylan cites George Harrison’s ‘All Things Must Pass’ as being a major infl uence on this record, and you may also hear echoes of Gene Clark as well as Glen Campbell’s early work.• The songs on the new album are fraught with recollections of love, loss and regret. He was admittedly an emotional wreck when he wrote them, but emotions of that sort often lead to the most heartfelt music around.
