• Two-time JUNO-nominated CANCER BATS drop their fourth full-length album Dead Set On Living, through Shock in Australia & New Zealand. Once again utilizing the legendary Vespa Studios and producers Eric Ratz and Kenny Luong, Dead Set On Living brings yet another dimension to the Bats’ menacing style of thrash-tinged hardcore rock.• Thematically, the album offers a strong focus on the bilateral relationship of dark and light, destruction and construction, life and death. The title track, for example, refers to a close friend of the band who ended up in the hospital in serious condition; only to have the experience cement his will to survive. “Road Sick,” as the title may imply, fi nds Cormier struggling with the hardships that come with a career spent on the road. “Our lives are all about touring, but that song is more universal,” Cormier reveals. “It’s really for anyone away from their loved ones, dealing with that situation.” Still, whereas 2010’s Bears, Mayors, Scraps & Bones had a much darker tinge, DSOL strikes a tighter balance between the opposing forces and brings listeners closer to the light at the end of the tunnel by encouraging them to push through peril.• "Metallic intensity and animal ferocity" KKKK - Kerrang "Expect the bangers on 'Dead Set on Living' to start riots, induce whiplash and have the whole room off the fl oor" NME "11 consecutive 'F%*k Yeahs' - a totally righteous record" Rock Sound 8/10

• Foreshadowed by the single ‘Into the Darkening Blue’ and title track ‘So Pretend’, Buckley Ward’s forthcoming album is the band’s most dynamic work to date.• Coming three years after their debut full length album Something in the Night and post line-up changes, So Pretend is the sound of a band fl exing their collective muscles and fully growing into themselves. Assiduously crafted and cannily restrained,  So Pretend  is a quietly assured effort from the fi ve piece.• Since the release of the album’s title track and fi rst single in late 2011, momentum has been steadily building behind the band and has seen them hand selected to open for such names as Jungle Giants, San Cisco and Big Scary, the latter taking them on a national tour.

• If you look up the expression 'Live fast, die young and leave a good looking corpse', there is surely to be a picture of Hollywood based rapper Mickey Avalon right next to it. Avalon’s life story plays out like an episode of VH1's ‘Behind The Music', marred by personal tragedy, triumphs and intense pain.• Avalon sprung to prominence with his debut self-titled album released through Interscope in 2007, featuring the hit single ’Jane Fonda’. He has had tracks appear in ’Harold & Kumar Go To Guantanamo Bay’, the TV series ’Entourage’ and ’American Dad’, and his track ’Stroke Me’ was used in the trailers for the Cameron Diaz movie ’Bad Teacher’ and the ads for the video game ’Duke Nukem Forever’. He also co-wrote the Unwritten Law hit ’Shoulda Known Better’.• Loaded is Mickey Avalon's second album, and fi rst album free from his major label deal. Avalon recently debuted his new video for the track ’Girlfriend’, featuring Scott Russo of Unwritten Law.• The Loaded tour marks the fi fth year in a row that Avalon has toured Australia to perform his live show. Mickey Avalon ’Loaded’ Australian Tour May 2012 Thu 17 Newcastle (Fannys), Fri 18 Sydney (HiFi), Sat 19 Gold Coast (Coolangatta Hotel), Fri 25 Melbourne (The Espy), Sat 26 Perth (Rosemount Hotel).• Dedicated Australian tour publicist, stacks of print & online marketing, extensive service to media and fl owthrough from overseas and online activity.

• RIVAL SONS are a raucous, maximum-blues-infused, hard rock band from Los Angeles, California, who explode with the rhythm and roughness of some of the greatest rock acts of all time.• Hailed as "The unlikely saviours of American Rock"(Classic Rock) Lead Vocalist Jay Buchanan, guitarist Scott Holiday, bassist Robin Everhart, and drummer Mike Miley were brought together by a love of music, but also, in their own words, they "want to give the people the rock and roll they deserve by keeping it honest, visceral, and dangerous". • From the fi rst moment the band got together there has been a special artistic chemistry, landing them opening slots with legends like AC/DC and ALICE COOPER, several USO shows with KID ROCK, and a tv performance from The Indianapolis 500.• It’s now Australia’s time for some Rival Son’s action. This special issue is a redux version of their breakthrough album ‘Pressure & Time’

• Mystery Jets return to the world stage with their fourth album and fi nest effort to date – Radlands, released on April 27 on Rough Trade/Shock Records.• While the band's fi rst three LPs were recorded in London, Mystery Jets decided to spice up their lives and fl y out to Austin to lay down the majority of the 11-song affair in "a big old wooden house on the banks of the Colorado river."• Renowned for their distinct tempo changing and ever experimental structures, Radlands see’s the Mystery Jets fulfi ll their best songwriting to date. Noticeably less ’synth’ heavy as their previous internationally well received release ’Seratonin’ , Radlands takes you on journey to the musical heartland of America. Much of the album encapsulates their experience in Austin.• The fi rst single from Radlands ’Someone Purer’ instantly gained recognition with BBC radio one as it featured as the ”Hottest Record On The Planet” by Zane Lowe. • ”Rag-tag gang, Mystery Jets return to a straighter Rock n’roll sound – while loosing none of their trademark joyeous bent” NME

• Joining forces once more with legendary producer Don Gilmore, Speak In Code puts a new contemporary spin on the band's trademark savvy songwriting.• A warm "welcome home" for longtime fans of the band and an impressive introduction for soon-to-be-followers, the 12 infectious tracks on Speak in Code from their strongest release to date.• The band's previous three albums spawned a number of top ten singles, including #1 smash hit "Inside Out", "Think Twice", "Promise", "Leech", and the radio/MTV mega-anthem "Here's to the Night", which continues to serve as the theme for many high school graduations and proms to this day.

• Hailing from the north side of Brisbane, THIS CITY IGNITES have been constructing their mosh-pit igniting motifs and hurling them into crowds since early 2009. Their onslaught of ultra down-tuned guitars, punishing drums, violent vocal assault and uncompromising memorandum entices listeners to seize the world by the throat and not let go. • "Streets of Rage" is the debut 11-track album for Brisbane-based 4-piece hardcore/metallers, THIS CITY IGNITES. It features ultra down-tuned guitars, punishing drums, a violent vocal assault and uncompromising memorandum that entices listeners to seize the world by the throat and not let go. • Produced, mixed and mastered at Studio 454 in Brisbane with Dan Field (The Amity Affl iction/Skyway) and Andrew Marsh (Thy Art Is Murder), These tracks combine the extreme heaviness of The Acacia Strain with the aggressive delivery of Hatebreed and chastising grooves of Slipknot.• From it's haunting, pain-driven introduction onward, this record is relentless angst-driven aural attack which doesn't allow the listener a breathe until conclusion. Driving mosh-pit anthems for those who like it heavy, fast and aggressive.

• The statement “Fat Mike of NOFX has a ragtime album coming out” is not something you would expect to ever hear. However, Mike’s actually been experimenting with ragtime sounds in his day job ever since the classic 'Buggly Eyes' fi rst appeared on 'White Trash Two Heebs & A Bean' way back in 1992.• Now, he’s teamed up with guys from the Mad Caddies and Tom Waits’ backing band to bring you ten authentically classic ragtime tunes that will gently swing you back to the days of yore while you sip your old fashioned, wax your mustache or get decked out in latex and tie your slave to the spanking horse.• The album is the soundtrack to fetish queen Soma Snakeoil's new fi lm 'Rubber Bordello', bound to attract much attention.• Limited 1000 worldwide vinyl run of the Rubber Bordello soundtrack (the fi lm starring fetish queen Soma Snakeoil), featuring Fat Mike (NOFX, Me First & The Gimme Gimmes), Dustin Lenker (Mad Caddies) and members of Tom Waits' backing band.• Also available on CD (Cat # SMP399-2).
