Len Speier Writes:I am having a great month in my 89th year!1.  First, the ongoing Solo photo show, entitled "Nearly Everybody" at the Daniel Cooney Fine Art gallery at 508 W. 26 St, NYC, (Opened September 15,  closes, October 29, 2016)  Gallery talk given by Len Speier, October 1, 2016. (Believe it or not, we even sold a few vintage prints!)2.  Group show, "Generations" , Four person show (I am the oldest of the generations!), at the Gallery of the Theater for a NEW CITY, LES, NYC, Closes OCTOBER 24, 2016. 3.  I get "Best in Show", First Prize, for "Cityscapes" competition from  Gallery 1650, Los Angeles. ("Man in front of Wall with curved lines, Lower Manhattan, NYC".)  October 5, 2016. 4. ``I win the 2016 Portfolio Prize from the Blank Wall Gallery, Athens, Greece.  October 15, 2016. 5.   (Here is the best! I am invited to have a Solo Show at the start of 2017 (precise date TBA) At the new premises of the Blank Wall Gallery, Athens. Greece during the beginning of 2017!And October is not over yet!

Margaret McCarthy writes: Dear Friends, I'm pleased and honored that my black and white portfolio PAST PLACES ON PORTRIGA is Red Filter Gallery's featured exhibition for the month of July. This exhibition features my early travel images; the photographs shown are vintage gelatin silver prints made on Portriga Rapid Paper. https://bwgallerist.com

Margaret McCarthy also showed prints. Fine art broadside prints from my publication A VISION AND A VERSE® will be on display at the Mindy Ross Gallery, SUNY Orange, Newburgh, NY from August 19 through October 6. The exhibition is curated and presented by Joanne Zipay and Dorothy Szefc of the University's Cultural Affairs Department. "A VISION and A VERSE: The Wheel of the Year in Word and Image" traces the evolution of this publishing project. Begun in 2012 as an exploration of the interplay between image and text, this is the first time that broadside prints of all issues of the publication are on display together. The prints are archival pigment prints.
