Assignments and Grades Tutorial - Students

This tutorial will help you discover how to use the Assignment section. Double click the Speaker Icon to listen to a narration of the tutorial. Assignments

The Assignment section contains the assignments and tests that will be counted toward your coursegrade. #1 - The mouse icon indicates the assignment is an online test or survey. #2 - The chalk iconindicates the assignment is offline. #3 - The double arrow icon indicates the assignment is a fileexchange where you submit your assignment as a file in this area. #4 - Note: the due dates may not beconsistent with what is listed on your course calendar or syllabus. Be sure to use assignment duedates provided by your instructor.

File Exchange Assignment

This is an example of a File Exchange assignment. #1 - Click Browse and locate the file you willsubmit for the assignment. You will be directed to your computer's files.

Choosing your file

#1 - Click on your file then #2 - click Open. #3 - Your file name will appear in the Browse area. #4 -Click Upload to attach your file to the assignment.

Mark as Final

#1 - Your file will appear in the My Files area. #2 - Click Mark as Final when you are ready to submityour file.

After File is Submitted

File Exchange Feedback From Your Instructor

#1 - You will see your grade for the assignment. #2 - Your instructor may make comments on yourassignment and attach it as a file in this area.

Online Tests

The mouse icon indicates that the assignment is an online test or survey. Most exams can be takenonly one time. #1 - Read any available Description or Instructions provided by your instructor. #2 -Click Take this Test to enter the exam.

Taking the Test

#1 - To be safe, be sure click Save Progress after each question to make sure your answers arerecorded and saved. #2 - Answer the question by clicking on the box. #3 - Click Submit for Gradingwhen you have reviewed the your answers (if review is permitted).

Test Results Available

#1 - After the grade is released, you may be able to review your test. Some instructors may usealternative methods of test review.

This is an example of a test review. A red mark indicates an incorrect response.

Gradebook

#1 - provides you with your overall Grade Results and your grade based on the points you haveachieved so far in the course. #2 & #3 - factors Attendance if points for attendance are given in yourcourse. #4 - lists your Coursework Detail. #5 - Click on View All Assignments to view the pointsthat have been earned for each assignment.
