I did this painting by studying Picasso's self portrait from 1907.I tried to replicate the painting using Acrylic paints, I blended them on a separate piece of paper to achieve the colours I needed…

Overall I am pleased with this study and believe it is one of the best I have done this.

This was a water colour study of an Eagle, I believe this study could have gone better but overall I am pleased with it.

This study was done last year, I believe the outcome of this task was good.

I achieved this by looking at my left hand whilst drawing with my right and shading the darker areas of my hand.

• This is one of my favourite pieces I have done so far, to do this piece I used an A1 sheet of paper and charcoal/chalk and an image of a butterfly.I used the charcoal to achieve most of the colour as well as do the outlines for the wing and leaves, I then used my finger to shade different areas to achieve the different shades. I also used some white chalk to help with the lighter parts of the picture,

• This was the first biro study I have done and don’t think it turned out as good as it could have done.• The materials used for this was 1 biro pen, piece of paper and an image of a bird.

• This was the second watercolour study I did and it is of a birds eye, I believe this study turned out quite well. The materials used for this study where Watercolours, paintbrush and paper.

• This page consists of live studies of a lizard, a study of a pelican and a watercolour study of a parrot, I am quite pleased with these images as I believe they have captured the animals well, though I believe the colour of the parrot could have been blended better.

• The materials used in this study are Watercolours, pencil and paper.

• This page is the first page in my book and consists of quick sketches of animals from Manchester museum. To do these I had to find an animal/insect I would like to draw and sit down and quickly sketch them.I believe if I had more time per drawing they would have turned out a lot better.

This page is made up of cut out images I took from my research. I don’t like this page as it appears rushed and empty.
