Since its incorporation in 1988, AquaTechnics Europe GmbH has set the pace for innovation and high-quality

swimming pool technology. In the idyllic village of Oberpframmern near Munich, Germany, we have the

appropriate environment for innovation and development, and over many years have established ourselves

as a reliable high-quality German manufacturer.

The focus of our latest developments is energy-saving, pollutant-free illumination systems, and alternative

solutions for pool disinfection.

Thanks to our innovation, we have managed to revolutionize pool illumination technology

within a few years. As a manufacturer of LED special lighting systems we stand for cutting-

edge technology, reliability and utmost quality. Our patented product series aqua de-light®

was awarded the “Golden Wave” innovation prize in 2005.

Continuous improvement for low power consumption and more reliability

While we strive to achieve the highest levels of environmental protection, we also continuously seek ways

to improve reliability. Our objectives are: lowering power consumption, increasing light intensity, and

improving simplicity of handling and installation. Regular reports from our customers confirm our

state-of-the-art technology is meeting the above objectives all the time.

Specialised know-how. The basis of our success

Our products require the highest levels of stability, reliability and durability. The permanent presence of

chlorine, salt, acids and aggressive cleaning agents requires the use of corrosion resistant synthetic

materials to ensure long-term operation of our lighting systems. The success of aqua de-light® pool

illuminators is based on a comprehensive and sound knowledge of electronics, mechanics and design.

We have chosen to locate our business in the Federal Republic of Germany, because only here we are able

to research and develop technologically advanced products such as aqua de-light®. Only here do we have

the high-grade materials, services and resources required to secure best quality levels.

The heart of our products is the electronic development

Before we create prototypes, electronic circuits are simulated with special

layout software. Once theoretical circuits and parts optimizations are

established, prototypes are assembled and subjected to extensive testing.

Any inconsistencies or faults are rectified immediately.

Laser supported plastic fusing for utmost quality

The housings containing the integrated electronic PCBs and cables are

hermetically sealed with the help of modern and patented laser fusing

technologies. This enables two synthetic materials with different light

transparencies to be welded together by means of a focussed laser beam.

The result is a homogeneous joint of the two materials, creating a single unit.

Modern technology for modern design

A CAD computer is used to design the moulds for our lamp housings. These

are made from a high grade polycarbonate material which guarantees the best

shock and impact resistance, sealing, and durability. It also ensures the lights

can withstand the harsh effects of ultraviolet radiation, as well as corrosion

from permanent immersion in chlorine, salt, acids or aggressive cleaning agents.

Our strict quality management

Optimal product quality is ensured by a quality management system (QM), which starts with our sub-

contractors through to the finished product. All processes are monitored permanently to ensure 100%

customer satisfaction. When we receive feedback from our markets, we take immediate action where

improvements are necessary.

More than basic necessity

Every single aqua de-light® underwater illuminator is electrically and mechanically tested before it leaves

factory. In addition, every 50th lamp is subject to a high-pressure test and exposed to 6 bars corresponding

to a water depth of 60m.

We only cooperate with ISO 9001/2 certified German suppliers and sub-contractors. Because long-term

reliability is dependent on a low thermal load of the circuits, the enclosures of all our LED lamps are made

of highly transparent and shockproof polycarbonate, which is hermetically sealed with special laser welding

technologies. Every lamp is tested, hence we are confident of reliability even under the most demanding

conditions. The mechanical components withstand applied loads of up to 3 tons.

Our Light Emitting Diodes

Our LED products are individually equipped with special semiconductors. Instead of using many small and

weak diodes, we prefer high-power modules in order to keep efficiency rates high and minimize heat

production.

Using so-called binning methods, technical tolerances are minimised and a consistent light colour can be

obtained.

After many years of research and development in the fields of electronics, mechanics and design, we are

now able to offer a modern illumination technology which replaces old filament bulbs and energy saving

lamps. The very specific requirements of pool lighting systems do not leave much room for energy saving

lamps, especially considering they are fragile and contain hazardous substances.

Our strong focus on innovative, trend-setting and patented technologies and materials leads to products

which will continue to strengthen our position as a leader in future.

Innovative Technologies

Salt water electrolysis. Nature instead of chemistry

Salt water electrolysis uses an advanced electronic process to break down natural salt into its components,

chlorine and sodium. This is a very effective bacteria-killing sanitizer, which provides luxurious and clean

water for your swimming pool.

After completion of the disinfection process the released elements recombine to salt and start the cycle

again. This process is environmentally friendly and does not require any handling of messy and hazardous

pool chemicals.

Worldwide unique features!

When power is switched on, 8 basic colours are switched through consecutively at an interval of 14 seconds.

The transition from one colour to the next will be slow and smooth in a few seconds. Many pleasant colour

variations occur.

By briefly switching the power “off and on” within 1 second, the last colour can be “frozen” and stored

permanently, even at a loss of power and re-start.

In order to re-activate the colour-change mode, just switch power “off and on” again for a maximum of

1 second (see above). The colour cycle will start anew.
