Centennial Celebration of the Our Lady of Fatima continuous ...

The visit of the International Pilgrim Statue of Our Lady of Fatima at our church on February 1st was attended by many parishioners. Our bond as a church community was definitely strengthened by this coming together in prayer. Beginning on May 13th, we will begin to set forth the travel of our very own Pilgrim Statue of Our Lady of Fatima to our homes, school, and even to hospitals to visit the sick, in celebration of the 100th anniversary. The pilgrimage will continue through October 13th . The Sisters of the Alliance of the Holy Family International will be with us for praying the rosary, scripture readings and the consecration of our homes to the two hearts of our Lord Jesus Christ and the Blessed Virgin Mary. If you are interested in having your home blessed and consecrated at the same time and have the statue of Our Lady of Fatima for a brief stay at your home for a day or two, please sign up in the Gathering Space after Masses beginning this weekend.

St. Joseph’s in Huntsville is hosting the Community Catholic Easter Sunrise Mass at 6:00 AM on the Monte Sano lookout located down from the park. All are welcome!

No Youth Group until the Sunday after Easter. Middle School and High School will be doing a service project at the Boys Ranch on Saturday morning ,April 15th, from 9-12:00. Permission forms needed and can be obtained from the Parish Office.

DIVINE MERCY SUNDAY April 23

rd 3:00-4:00 PM

On September 24, 1939, Jesus told St. Faustina: “My daughter, tell the whole world about My inconceivable mercy. I de-sire that the Feast of Mercy be a refuge and shelter for all souls, and especially for poor sinners. On that day the very depths of My tender mercy are open. I pour out a whole ocean of graces upon those souls who ap-proach the fount of My mercy. The soul that will go to Confession and receive Holy Communion shall obtain complete for-giveness of sins and punishment. On that day all the divine floodgates through which grace flow are opened. Let no soul fear to draw near to Me, even though its sins be as scarlet. My mercy is so great that no mind, be it of man or of angel, will be able to fath-om it throughout all eternity. Everything that exists has come forth from the very depths of My most tender mercy. Every soul in its relation to Me will contemplate My love and mercy throughout eternity. The Feast of Mercy emerged from My very depths. of tenderness. It is My desire that it be sol-emnly celebrated on the first Sunday after Easter. Mankind will not have peace until it turns to the Fount of My Mercy.” 699

Saint Ann School Annual Appeal 2017

To have the opportunity to attend a Catholic school is a privilege we are proud to offer at Annunciation of the Lord parish. We are hopeful and excited about the opportunities and challenges before us. To fund the necessary teaching units, ongoing programs, and up-to-date technology used to facilitate competitive education, I invite your support. In order to provide the students, staff, and faculty of St. Ann Catholic School with the best opportunities to succeed, we are asking you to join with us in the St. Ann School Annual Appeal campaign in reaching our goal to raise $70,000 this year. Please prayerfully consider giving a gift to this worthy ministry. . Every gift given to the school supports our commission to proclaim the good news with joy.

To date we have received $ 30,076.

The Foundation has again received a challenge from a donor who will match up to $10,000 in donations to the Foundation - as of last Sunday we have received $6,723 toward that match - over half-way there! We wish to match this amount as we did as we reach toward our goal of $70,000. Let’s pull together once again as our parish always has to meet this challenge for the benefit of our children. Whatever amount you choose to give will be a blessing to the school. Your gift to St. Ann Catholic School is tax deductible. Please make all checks payable to St. Ann’s Educational Foundation. Funds given to this collection will qualify for St. Ann Society Circle acknowledgement:

Up to $99 Donor $100 - $249 Patron $250 - $999 Benefactor $1,000 - $4,999 Green and Gold Society $5,000 - $9,999 Knight Society $10,000 and above St. Ann Society

The Lord is risen! As Christ's disciples, we are called to go forth and spread the good news of His Resurrection. Our parish's many ministries are examples of how many of you answer that call. Our ministries require not only gifts of time and talent, but also of financial help. Please prayerfully consider supporting Annunciation of the Lord Church with electronic donations through Faith Direct.

Visit www.faithdirect.net and use our church code: AL724

Thank you for your continued support of our parish family!

Stewardship

Today we recreate the welcome into Jerusalem of Jesus, the Lord and Savior. It is easy to be enthusiastic, even to be carried away briefly with that enthusiasm. It is much harder to sustain enthusiasm, because that means giving of ourselves.
