Upon�entering�or�departing�the�subway�trains�in�London,�passengers�hear�the�message�over�and�over�to�“mind�the�gap”�–�the�distance�between�the�train�and�the�platform.�This�message�is�designed�to�ensure�safe�passage�and,�in�the�spirit�of�successfully�navigating�through�another�school�year,�we�at�St.�Michael’s�Catholic�Academy�ask�that�you�keep�this�phrase�in�mind�for�the�next�few�months�during�our�2010-2011�Annual�Appeal.

Minding�the�Gap�at�St.�Michael’s�means�taking�care�of�the�difference�between�what�it�costs�to�educate�a�student�at�St.�Michael’s�and�the�actual�tuition�paid�per�student.�The�additional�funds�are�needed�for�the�school’s�operational�costs,�for�educational�programs�and�for�financial�assistance�to�families�in�need.�

At�St.�Michael’s,�we�are�blessed�with�committed�educators�who�consider�teaching�our�children�as�not�just�a�job,�but�a�ministry.��Contributions�foster�an�optimum�environment�in�which�our�teachers�can�continue�to�teach�and�students�can�continue�to�learn�and�grow,�while�enveloped�in�a�strong,�loving,�and�faith-filled�community.
