For this we have chosen one endangered plant namely Saraca asoca, which belongs to the Caesalpiniaceae sub family of the legume family. Why did we do? According to the Red list of, International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) this plant comes under the vulnerable stage. Conservation status ranks are based on one to five scale. They are as follows

CONSERVATION OF ENDEMIC AND ENDANGERED SPECIES
What did we do?
It gives us great pleasure to inform you that we have named our project as “conservation of endemic and endangered species”. For this we have chosen one endangered plant namely Saraca asoca, which belongs to the Caesalpiniaceae sub family of the legume family.
Why did we do?
According to the Red list of, International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) this plant comes under the vulnerable stage.
Conservation status ranks are based on one to five scale.
They are as follows
1= Critically imperiled
2 = Imperiled
3= Vulnerable
4= Apparently secure
5= Secure
Hence we want to conserve this plant.
How did we do?
First we identify the particular plant. We collected some plants from Kerala ….
We gave all the information regarding the plant to the students. This was
followed by the plantation of plants in the schools by the students. The place
where the plants were planted has been named as “ ENDANGERED SPECIES
PROTECTION PARK”. Thus we regenerate the thought process of our students
towards conserving the endangered species.
