YOUR ROLEHIT THE GROUND RUNNINGAs an intern with All Access, you will be given responsibility from the day you arrive to experience a wide variety of tasks and to understand the importance of cross-departmental relationships. You will be given the training, safety certification, and hands-on hours to mold you into a fully functioning entertainment professional.

Your role at All Access will depend on your strengths, preferences, and vision for your career. We have a myriad of different departments looking for bright, motivated, and capable young employees to help grow and expand our operation through innovation, initiative, and dedication. The path you choose will help give you the tools to expand your career horizons in this industry or any other.

• Gain an understanding of proper safety protocol on an entertainment job site and in an industrial environment.

• Gain familiarity with the elements of staging systems and products through hands-on application.

• Set up and tear down equipment on actual job sites with the aid of event coordination.

• Learn to prepare equipment, pack trucks, coordinate delivery of equipment, and plan and manage time on site for an efficient and effective install.

RENTALSDEPARTMENTTHE HARDEST WORKING PEOPLE IN SHOW BUSINESSOur rentals department puts potential interns on the front lines of the production world.

Interns of our rentals department will:

FABRICATIONDEPARTMENTA WEAPON OF MASS CONSTRUCTIONOur fabrication department consists of the machinists, carpenters, welders, and craftsmen who have honed the skill of their trade to be able to take the ideas and drawings of our clients and create them in reality out of steel, aluminum, wood, or anything else for that matter.

Potential fabrication interns will:

• Learn about the use of mills, grinders, sanders, saws, and welding machines.

• Follow a project through the multilevel chain of command that brings it to fruition -- from the drafter’s desk to the project manager’s timeline creation and delegation to the fabricator’s execution of the plan.

• Help in the creation of custom shows and events through the planning, building, labeling, packaging, and shipping of fabricated equipment.

• Learn about the use of computer numerical control (CNC) of fabrication machines, such as our CNC router and water-jet cutting machine. Learn how mathematical data can be used to control machines and create custom pieces to the exact specifications needed.

• Learn about different lifts, turntables, and special effects, as well as our automation and smart control capabilities.

• Understand maintenance of this complex equipment.

• Be privy to the research and development behind all of the innovative equipment.

• Experience the challenges of working with electromechanical and hydraulic special effects.

ELECTRO-MECHANICALDEPARTMENTSMOKE, MIRRORS, & LOUD BANGSOur electro-mechanical and hydraulics department is where innovation and technical savvy combine to create the gags and magic of live events.

Potential electro-mechanical interns will:

INVENTORYDEPARTMENTARE YOU SURE YOU BROUGHT EVERYTHING?The logistical backbone of our operation, the inventory department manages the schedule of thousands of pieces of different equipment, making sure they are in the right place at the right time for the job.

Interns in our inventory department will:

• Identify equipment and capture technical photographs that show important aspects of each piece.

• Interface with our Flex inventory software, the leading software for entertainment rental houses, to track equipment, manage workflow, bill clients for lost or damaged gear, and maintain the transmission of rental equipment from job to job.

• Manage gear schedule, planning ahead to coordinate equipment to bounce between a multitude of overlapping jobs.

• Learn about purchase orders, equipment manifests, shipping and receiving, maintenance procedures, and invoicing.

• Learn about the materials, geometry, and physics that set the rules for the design of products.

• Observe the translation that occurs from client to salesman, and salesman to drafter, and how ideas can be manipulated into drawings.

• Learn to use drafting programs like Vectorworks and AutoCAD, giving you the tools to create anything you can think of.

• Draw custom pieces for jobs on the current roster.

DRAFTING/DESIGNDEPARTMENTTHE ARCHITECTS OF DREAMSOur drafting and design department takes the ideas of the artists’ imaginations and translates them into real world dimensions, making a science out of art.

Interns of our drafting and design department will:

• Interest in working in the live event industry.

• Basic math and computer skills.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Organization and punctuality.

• Bilingual skills are a plus but not required.
