For long term results, focus on your target market over promoting a specific product.

To sell a product, you have to understand what motivates people to buy it…so focus on people.


#2: Be Honest and Detailed

Guide your audience to products that will truly help them and they will seek out recommendations from you over and over again.

Be honest in your recommendations and provide plenty of detail, so they can make their decision.


#3: Track Your Links and Campaigns

As with all marketing, you have to track your results.

Where possible, choose affiliate programs that provide tracking systems so you can tell which links and which campaigns are providing the best results.


#4: Seek Out Recurring Commissions

Some of the most lucrative affiliate programs are the ones that pay you for recurring or subscription payments.

Find these opportunities to generate monthly revenue.


#5: Percentage Doesn’t Always Matter

While 50% commission may sound nice, it’s important to evaluate other numbers too.

As you work in a niche, always work to deepen your understand of the people in your audience. Talk to them more and study their behavior too.
