Tough galThe tough gal is where you get stuck in and get pretty muddy but you also have lots of fun. my favourite bit was when you got to the end and had to climb up the slippery mud and then climb up a webbed rope. It felt good to run over the finish line and get a drink.

Rotorua canopy toursThe Rotorua Canopy Tours is where you go ziplining through the forest canopy and do obstacles like the swing bridge.

It is so fun!!!

facts1.The longest zipline was 200m long. Because I was so light I had to tuck up in a ball, which they called a cannonball, so that I made it to the other end.

2.We ziplined a rimu tree that was 1000 years old, it was BIG!!

3.Some of the animals that kill the native birds are possums, Rats and stoats.

Conservation: You also learn about the native birds like the kiwi, A portion of what you pay to go on a Canopy Tour goes directly back into the conservation of the forest! Back in 2012 the Dansey Road Scenic Reserve was a quiet place that came alive at night; but not in a good way. The forest was crawling with possums, rats and stoats and unfortunately this meant that our native species were not doing very well at all. They started their trapping program back in 2013 and within a couple of weeks over 800 pests had been caught.They have been going ever since and it has been a big success with lots of new native species being discovered
