Traffic Report ~ Dan Lammers
Last month Ace paid $25,074.35 out to 27 con-tractors for running their business without exceeding their bond revenue for even one day. The period meas-ured was July 1st to Decem-ber 31st. The top contractor earned a 1% linehaul bonus of $3653 for his fleet of 3
trucks .
For those who aren’t quite there yet, keep working on it. Working on your own capital is clearly more prof-itable than running on the
company’s cash flow.
Volume 57 March, 2013
Ricky Patterson has been with Ace Reloca-
tion since 1999, when the Kyle branch was
opened. He began as a lumper, and became a
van operator soon after. Ricky’s favorite
places to drive through are Atlanta, San Die-
go, and Denver. He enjoys shooting pool
and fishing in his hometown of Buda, but
jokes that he doesn’t have much free time to
do those things because he works so often.
Ricky likes being a PVO with Ace because he
enjoys the people that he works with and feels
appreciated for his work. He says he can get
along with just about anyone, and believes
that the key to excellent customer service is to
show up in a good mood and roll with the
punches.
Aaron Hummel, GM at Ace 66, says of Ricky:
“Ricky was the first employee hired here by
Art Livermore when Ace originally branched
out to Texas and has never looked back since.
He now owns three tractors, one bobtail, and
is running a very successful local contract
with this branch. His can-do attitude and hard
work ethic make him a pleasure to work with
and an invaluable asset to this company.”
Thank you for all your hard work, Ricky!
Behind the Wheel ~ Headlights on Ricky Patterson
Everyone is a critic. In this day and age, feedback on everything we do is given by our customers,
the public at large and law enforcement. The bottom line is, we are being watched and rated.
As a professional van operator, you have to be aware that at any one time, someone could shoot a
video or digital picture, and you and Ace/Atlas Van Lines could be on the internet faster than you
can say “viral”. Be aware of your surroundings and be a professional.
Our customers are being asked to rate us after we leave their homes. Was the crew professional?
Was there damage? Would you recommend Ace/Atlas to your friends? Moving is our chosen pro-
fession and we must make a professional impression on our customers. They are the ones with the
power at the end of the day to share their views by way of post move surveys or public forums
such as YELP or Angie’s List. Make your impression a great one.
The following clients ask their end users about you: AIReS, Altair, Cartus, WHR, Plus Relocation,
COD, National Account direct contracts, Military, GSA, Department of State and Cornerstone;
Pretty much every move we touch will be rated.
Professionals know that each interaction is measured. Be rested, healthy and equipped to handle
the job you are awarded. Your work is hard and at times is thankless, but this is how we make our
living— let’s strive to be at the top of the industry.

Truck Stop ~ Important Notice
Beginning March 7th, 2013, Ace Relocation
Systems will e-mail contractor settlements.
If you don’t have an e-mail on file with Ace
Accounting, please notify Monique Tennison
or Christina Aldridge and we will get your
profile updated. This will save time and pa-
per.
Any back up that you request will be
scanned so we can e-mail you a copy on de-
mand.
REMINDER: PVOs with Atlas Net access must log in at
least once every 90 days to keep access active!
This is a great tool; PVOs that access this
routinely are better informed
than those who do not.
“ Your employees are a credit to your
company and should be commended
for the way they represent the abso-
lute right way to conduct business.”
Speed Bump ~ Tip of the month
Many customer reviews lately have included a frustration over the necessary packing
materials not being brought to their home on moving day. Sales reps will often make the
customer aware of the packing materials they will need, and when those materials don’t
show up, a customer may feel both mislead and concerned for their belongings.
Communication between salespeople, operations, and drivers is key to making this pro-
cess successful. Double-check, even triple-check, the Pull Sheet and survey to make sure
you are bringing all necessary packing material from the warehouse: wardrobe boxes,
mirror cartons, mattress cartons, etc.

Frontage Road ~ David Wood and the team at 15
Greetings from your nation’s capitol! Ace 15 is just 18
miles outside of Washington, DC in Prince George’s Coun-
ty, and services northern Virginia, DC, and all of Maryland
on a local basis. As most of you know our service footprint
extends beyond the mid-Atlantic region to the entire East-
ern seaboard.
2012 was a turn-around year for Ace15. We increased rev-
enues by more than $900,000, augmented our O&I busi-
ness, became Ace’s top hauler, and rank 8th in the nation in
COD sales for the convention year. Looking forward, we
are dramatically increasing our GSA presence in office
moving, freight, and household goods relocation. With
growth comes the need to expand our service capabilities.
All of our service providers are currently undergoing train-
ing and retraining to meet the expectations of our fellow
agents, and the demands of our customers. The Washing-
ton, DC market is the most dynamic in the country. DOD, GSA, the diplomatic community, and private in-
dustry provide us with considerable opportunity and the need for the highest level of service.
As we anticipate greater success in 2013, we are renovating our offices and will be converting considerable
space to climatic and specialized storage. As soon as the sound of construction ends we will prepare for the
regional Atlas PVO meeting in April that we will host, and then straight into the peak season. We have some
very talented people at Ace 15 and we approach each day with a team effort. We are also grateful for the sup-
port of the corporate office, and an amazing Ace family of agents. While we have many stars at Ace 15, our
van operators deserve much of the credit. They’re the face of Ace on move day, and we recognize their hard
work and we honor their dedication to providing the service that distinguishes Ace Relocation Systems.
I wanted more Ace 15 people in the picture but the sales staff has been heavily booked and all of our service
providers have been working every day. It is something that we can live with!
All Ace and PVO Employees
must be qualified before they
begin to work. All PVO em-
ployees must meet the same
standard as the Ace employee
as stated in the Ace Con-
tract. To get qualified they
must complete the following
process.
Fill out completely the applica-
tion for the position they are
applying for— Driver, Ware-
house, Helper or Packer— with
a legible copy of their driver
license or ID and SS card. This
is then sent into Ace Safety
where we will complete the
background checks and then
notify you of what additional
items are required, drug test,
HPE test, DOT physical or road
test. Once all items have been
completed and are all in the ap-
plicant’s file you will be noti-
fied if he is qualified. All Ace
and PVO regular employees are
qualified to work on Atlas work
and will be given a Basic or
Prudential qualification.
Any Ace employee or PVO
caught using unqualified labor
may be suspended or terminat-
ed.
