About This Directory The SUSTAiN directory list all of the Charities, Voluntary Organisations, Community Groups, Social Enterprises and other ‘Not for Profit’ organisations known to SUSTAiN who provide support in Solihull. The directory is structured in two parts: Service Listing This provides a list of those organisations providing specific services under key headings. It is not a comprehensive listing since it’s based on the primary service provided by each organisation. Most Voluntary & Community organisations provide a wide range of services as required by the community they support. For example, “Kids” is listed under Advocacy & Advice as it’s primary role. It could equally be listed under Parents & Families, Disability, Children and one or two other categories given the services they provide and the people they support. Alphabetical Listing Details of organisations with a description and contact details in alphabetical order. The directory list almost 600 organisations. It is not however an exhaustive list. Recent research suggests that up to 750 groups may well operate in or provide services in Solihull. There are other organisations based outside Solihull that are accessed by Solihull residents. The directory was complied from the information held on the SUSTAiN database on 1st May 2011. The information is correct to the best of our knowledge and endeavours at the time it went to print. SUSTAiN cannot be held responsible for any errors or ommissions. If you find an error or know of a group that’s not listed here, please contact SUSTAiN on 0121 711 3148 or email [email protected]
