I am also working towards becoming an Amazon Certified Solutions Architect. I have completed Masters in Computer Science at the University of Texas, Arlington, majoring in DBMS with a CGPA of 3.4. Also, served as President of the Indian Cultural Council which is a 200 plus strong student organization on campus [June, 2015-May, 2016]. Won “Outstanding Student Organization of the Year 2015-2016” award. Currently looking for opportunities to work on challenging technical problems and be part of a team where I can learn and contribute. EDUCATION Master of Science in Computer Science, University of Texas at Arlington Graduated: May, 2016 Major: Database Management Systems Courses: DBMS Models and Implementation, Computer Networks, Design and analysis of Algorithms, Distributed Systems, Data Management Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science, Visvesvaraya Technological University Graduated: June, 2014 SKILLS Languages and Tools: C, C++, Java, Python,Hadoop, R, Spark, Kafka Operating and Distributed Systems: Windows, Linux, HDFS Data Base Systems: MySQL, Cassandra Web Development Tools: HTML, JavaScript, JSP, JSON, XML, PHP, XQuery, XPath PROJECTS Data Analysis and Processing using Apache Hadoop and R Developed a tool using Apache Hadoop and R to analyze historical weather data for multiple states across United States for the past 25 years considering different weather parameters such as Temperature, Precipitation, Snowfall etc., Implemented clustering using R for different weather parameters and mined for interesting anomalies. Developed this application using Map Reduce API's of Java and utilized Amazon Web services S3 and EC2 platform for running Hadoop. Implementation of Strict 2 Phase Locking of a Database Implemented a transaction manager that manages concurrency control using a strict two-phase locking (S2PL) protocol with shared locks for read and exclusive locks for write. The transaction manager handled locking and releasing of objects. Each transaction had a mutex associated with it for this purpose. Also, implemented the P and V operations using semaphores to grant locks and run individual transactions. Scripting and Public API’s: Property Locator Web MashUp application Implemented a Web MashUp application amalgamating Google Maps API with Zillow API to fetch details of the property such as mortgage rates, valuation, demographics etc., from the click event on the Map. Introduced me to Real Estate API from the Zillow API (more specifically, GetSearchResults) and Markers API provided by Google along with: Geocoding and Reverse Geocoding. E-Commerce Web Application Developed an E-Commerce web application using PHP and REST based web services via eBay Commerce Network API (ECN API) which provides a flexible way to access and recreate practically everything you see on Shopping.com. This Web application provided features for the end user to search for products based on a category and keyword search. It also allowed the user to view the selected items in a virtual cart. Internship: Inventory Management System for National Aerospace Laboratories As part of my Under Graduate internship, developed an inventory management system for the construction of an aircraft at National Aerospace Laboratories, Bangalore. Frontend developed using JSP and HTML and connected to MySQL database (used as the backend) using a simple JDBC: ODBC driver. Used Struts2 framework to make the code efficient and Tiles framework to enhance the look and feel of the interface.

Data Analysis and Processing using Apache Hadoop and R Developed a tool using Apache Hadoop and R to analyze historical weather data for multiple states across United States for the past 25 years considering different weather parameters such as Temperature, Precipitation, Snowfall etc., Implemented clustering using R for different weather parameters and mined for interesting anomalies.
