D&B had setup a process for recognizing the revenue from the customers. In the existing process, the deferred revenue was moved to a centralized office [4270]. To generate a more accurate revenue forecasts for each of the regional sales units, the deferred revenue must be recognized under the regional office as against the corporate office level. The scope of the project was to update the CK financial transaction records to reflect the actual ORC Codes in place of the standard ORC Code for Deferral revenue [4270]. The deferral revenue records of 2005 and 2006 in CK ere updated based on this logic.
