Annual Research Society Conference was conducted on Friday, 7th

Dec. 2018, at MIMER

Medical College, Talegaon (D). It was one day conference (with 2 MMC credit points). Theme of the

conference was Nutrition: Creating Healthier Lives!

Organizing departments for the conference were Dept. of Biochemistry, Dept. of Paediatrics, Dept.

of Radiology, and Dept. of Dentistry. Dr. S. A. Pratinidhi, Dr. S. S. Thind, Dr. V. L. Bhavari, and

Dr. S. D. Japtiwale was organising chairpersons of the conference.

Total 11 committees worked & co-ordinated for smooth conduction of the event.

286 delegates attended the conference. Outside registration were 25. (17 were spot registrations).

Inauguration function was started with world peace prayer. Principal Dr. R. P. Gupta welcomed

dignitaries on dias-Dr. Jagannath Dixit, Dr. Arun Jamkar, Dr. Snehal Ghodey. Theme of conference was

informed to audience by Dr. Derek D’Souza. Introduction & Felicitation of chief guests & MMC observer Dr.

Santosh Kadam was done by by Executive Director, Dr. Suchitra Nagare. After Lamp lightening, souvenir &

MIMER Medical Journal was released.

Dr. Jagannath Dixit delivered key note address on the topic: “Diabetes Reversal: New Hope.”

Lt. Col. Narendra Kumar Jain presented guest lecture on “Basics of Interventional Radiology: Role

and Application in Clinical Practice”. Dr. Sujit Pardeshi, another guest, spoke on “Success Principle

for Mental Nutrition.”

Parallel scientific oral paper presentations were held throughout the day. In New Lecture Hall, OPD

Complex, faculty members from various departments presented their topics. In lecture Hall 2 (Demo

Hall, Surgery Dept), PG students, from different departments presented their topics. Total no of oral

presentations were 24 (Faculty – 12, PG – 12).

Along with this, poster presentations & competition was also organised in auditorium. Total no. of

poster presentations were 23 (Faculty – 8, PG – 15).

Post presentation, prize distribution was done by the dignitaries.
