What is the Hiram G. Andrews Center? A comprehensive state-operated facility located in Johnstown, Pa., which offers quality post-secondary education, pre-employment transition and support services tocustomers as they determine and pursue individualized goals ofemployment and independence in the community.

What is the Commonwealth Technical Institute?A postsecondary trade and technical school licensed by the PennsylvaniaDepartment of Education and accredited by the Accrediting Commission ofCareer Schools and Colleges (ACCSC), located within the Hiram G.Andrews Center (CTI@HGAC).

What training programs are offered at CTI? Six associate degreeprograms - ASB Medical Office Assistant, AST Architectural Drafting, ASTCulinary Arts, AST Dental Laboratory Technology, AST Mechanical Drafting,and AST Networking and Telecommunications Technology - and eightdiploma programs - Administrative Assistant, Automotive Technology,Building Maintenance, Business Retail Sales, Culinary Assistant, MaterialsManagement and Distribution, Nurse Aide and Welding Technology.Through a partnership with CVSHealth, a Workforce Development Programis available with opportunities for clerk-cashier training with the potentialto enter pre-pharmacy technician training.

What support services and programs are available to facilitatestudent success? CTI@HGAC offers vocational rehabilitation counseling,tutoring, Cognitive Skills Enhancement Program (CSEP), Center forAssistive and Rehabilitative Technology (CART), Transitional LivingCoordination Program (TLC), disability support services, deaf/hard ofhearing services, services for students with visual impairments,therapeutic services, Career Guidance Center services, driver training,independent living skills services, the Center for Occupational Readiness(COR), recreational services and more. In addition, a student canparticipate in a 2-3 week vocational evaluation process that identifies thestudent�s strengths, allows for classroom tryouts, and providesrecommendations for appropriate training programs.
