    Defining and Measuring Productivity

The 724 task force has categorized the term productivityas the time savings given back to employees through

    technology utilization

    Problem

Productivity can be difficult to measure because it is as

much subjective as it is objective.

    Solution

An objective scoring system was developed to capture

specific assumptions and empirical data about the

before-and-after states. The system also calculates total

    savings based on population, demonstrated

    improvements, and timing of deployment.

that are shared through the user engagement process

    Continuous Measurement and Certification

Subject matter experts perpetually update thescorecard

Cross-IT task force reviews scorecard additions

each month, determines timing for certification Submission must pass muster with regard to data,

    empirical information, and clear assumptions

    Certification determines whether savings are

hard, soft, or quick Quarterly review on certified savings ensures that

actual results are consistent with planned savings
