A great musician understands that “harmony” among all the members of a band is “key.”
We have designed our LYRICS in order that each artist will personalize these goals and make appropriate, responsible
choices in and out of the classroom.
Focused on our grade level virtue of COURAGE,
our classrooms goals serve to inspire us to be people who make a difference!
THE RYTHM OF OUR CLASSROOM…
6
I WILL take responsibility for making MY OWN good choices“One man with COURAGE is a majority.” ~Thomas Jefferson
I WILL support my classmates in making good choices“COURAGE is contagious. When a brave man takes a stand, the spines of others are often stiffened.” ~Billy
Graham
I KNOW mistakes are a part of learning, but will reflect on them and try not to repeat them
“History cannot be unlived, but if faced with COURAGE, need not be lived again .” ~Maya Angelou
I WILL treat others as I would like to be treated...WITH RESPECT!
“Have the COURAGE to act instead of react.” ~Oliver Wendell Holmes
I WILL give my best effort in every thing I do“You have to accept whatever comes and the only important thing is that you meet it with COURAGE and
with the best you have to give .” Eleanor Roosevelt

HITTING THE “HIGH NOTES”…
8
When a musician is “out of tune,”
the whole band suffers and may be “out of sync.”
The following are in place to help redirect artists who demonstrate inappropriate behaviors:
Check, Check, 1…2…3Daily behavior monitoring of classroom behaviors
-Each letter rewards students with 2 minutes of free time on Friday (up to 20 minutes)
-Letters rewarded for on task behavior & preparedness
-Sent home each Friday (sign return & if fewer than 5 crossed out)
- Average taken for Citizenship Grade
Hitting the BIG TIME!Citations, phone calls home, modified behavior contracts, meeting with administration
…AND THE “LOW NOTES”
