This is your invitation to join Fr. Jude Salus, Pastor of Notre Dame of Mt. Carmel Parish, Cedar Knolls, and Fr. Carl Arico on a wonderful pilgrimage to Medjugorje and Rome, October 13 - 22, 2013. Fr. Carl Arico is the founding member and vice-president of Contemplative Outreach, an international ecumenical organization dedicated to sharing the practice of Centering Prayer.

This is Father Jude’s third trip to this wonderful shrine and he would love to share this faith filled experience with you. During our stay we will be able to participate in daily morning Mass in English at St. James Church. There will be evening International Ceremonies including apparition time, rosary, Litany of Loretto and Holy Mass. We will have time to climb Holy Cross Mountain while praying the Stations of the Cross as well as Apparition Hill. If possible we will also meet the visionaries.

Since 1981, in a small village in Bosnia-Hercegovina named Medjugorje, the Blessed Virgin Mary has been reportedly appearing and giving messages to the world. She continues to give messages to six people from the village: Ivan, Jakov, Marija, Mirjana, Vicka and Ivanka. In addition to these messages, Our Lady is to give each of the six visionaries a total of ten secrets or happenings that will occur on earth in the near future. Some of the secrets pertain to the whole world while others concern the visionaries themselves or their local village. Since the apparitions began in 1981 millions

of people of all faiths, from all over the world, have visited Medjugorje and have left spiritually strengthened and renewed. You owe it to yourself and your loved ones to investigate with an open mind and heart the messages which are given to us by Our Lady of Medjugorje.

This year there is an added feature of three nights in one of Europe’s great capital cities, “The Eternal City” of Rome. You will stay at the four star Hotel Nova Domus situated close to Vatican City. You will be in Rome on Sunday morning to experience the Papal Blessing given by Pope Benedict. Take a tour of the Sistine Chapel and the Vatican Museum and see the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps, Pantheon and Piazza Navone. Call or email Long’s Travel today for a brochure with full details.
