    Commissioners Update

Elk Grove Park District Board Of Commissioners

The Park Board meets on the 2nd & 4th Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm at the Park District Administration Office, 499 Biesterfield Rd., Elk Grove Village, IL

    Board Meetings

The Elk Grove Park District will begin a capital project to address the cosmetic renovation of the Jack A. Claes Pavilion Recreation Center. The Pavilion was built in 1994 and after 21 years it is in need of updates and repairs. The renovation will comprise of removal and replacement of wall coverings and flooring throughout the Pavilion common areas. The wall paper will be taken down and replaced with a fresh coat of paint. The flooring will be Harmonium linoleum in beige and grey with various color accents throughout.

There will be an upgrade to the water fountain in the lobby. The stark white tiling will be replaced with a warm earth tone rock tile. The Pavilion Customer Service desk and office area will be remodeled. The new and improved service desk and office area will feature elegant and inviting custom millwork and a soft, neutral color palette. The Garden Terrace hallway restrooms will be remodeled to match the dcor of the lobby restrooms.

A comprehensive renovation is timely as we prepare to celebrate our 50th anniversary in 2016. The Elk Grove Park District is committed to offering the community the finest facilities. These top-to-bottom upgrades will elevate the Pavilions high standards of excellence and customer experience. Williams Architects Ltd. will be the lead on the project and will be overseeing the interior design. Williams most recently completed the renovation to the Pavilion Aquatic Center and Pavilion lobby restrooms. The work will begin at the end of July and will be completed mid-September. The Pavilion will remain open and fully operational during the renovation with little to no patron inconvenience.
