Meet the PresentersSamuel B. Boxerman Esq., is a partner in the Environmental Practice Group of Sidley Austin LLP in Washington, DC. He has defended clients in environmental litigation cases. He specializes in matters related to shale gas development and hydraulic fracturing.

KC Conway is the executive managing director of Real Estate Analytics for Colliers International, leading real estate analytics capabilities advising institutional, bank, regulatory clients, as well as supporting valuation and advisory services. In 2010, Conway received the “Superior Contributions” award by the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council.

Bill Eshenbaugh, ALC, is the 2013 Meeks Distinguished Service award winner and owner of Eshenbaugh Land Company in Tampa, FL. He has been active in brokerage and land development for more than 30 years and has been a director or offi cer in most major real estate organizations.

Jay Ellis is founder and general partner of Sporting Ranch Capital Management. He spent 25 years on Wall Street with Credit Suisse First Boston and in 2007 opened the fi rst Institutional Sales offi ce for Morgan Stanley in Dallas, Texas.

William Emmons, PhD, is an assistant vice president and economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. He conducts policy analysis and speaks on the economy, fi nancial markets, and household fi nancial conditions. He is an adjunct professor of fi nance in the John M. Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis.

Brent Gloy, PhD, is a professor in the Department of Agricultural Economics at Purdue University. He teaches and conducts research in the areas of agricultural fi nance and agribusiness management. His research focuses on issues related to the supply and demand for credit. He is the founder and director of the Center for Commercial Agriculture.

Detlef Hallermann, PhD, is an associate clinical professor and director for the Reliant Energy Trade Center at Texas A&M University. Hallermann has created and directs the Trading, Risk & Investments Program (TRIP) for the university. He is a petroleum engineer experienced in the energy industry.

Leonard Jordan is the associate chief for conservation at the USDA. He directs the Natural Resources Conservation Service Programs—Science and Technology, Soil Science and Resource Assessment, and Strategic Planning and Accountability deputy areas.

Myers Jackson, of United Country Certifi ed Real Estate is a certifi ed auctioneer and provides land auction and real estate auction services to fi fty states and international provinces. He is the author and instructor of the Institute course, Building Business Through Technology.

Jim Miller, Esq., a senior vice president and regional manager for IPX1031, is a dedicated qualifi ed intermediary for all types of §1031 tax deferred exchanges. He is a practiced attorney representing buyers, sellers, homebuilders, and developers in commercial and residential transactions.

Dean McCraw is a certifi ed forester and president of McCraw Energy LLC. He was previously the director of forestry for the North Carolina Biofuels Center and the regeneration manager for Rayonier in Georgia where he managed the growing of over 505 million seedlings throughout the Southeast.

Eric Pimpler is the founder and owner of GeoSpatial Training Services (geospatialtraining.com). He implements and teaches Geographic Information Systems solutions using ESRI, Google Earth/Maps, Open Source technology. He is the author of Programming ArcGIS 10.1 with Python Cookbook.

Russell W. Riggs is the senior regulatory representative in the Government Affairs Division for the National Association of REALTORS® and is the government affairs liaison for the REALTORS® Land Institute. Riggs has engaged Congress and regulatory agencies on issues with a focus on property rights, the environment, and land use.

Brent Wellings is the southwest regional auction manager at Schrader Real Estate & Auction Co., Inc., and owner of Wellings Land Investment Advisory in Fort Worth, Texas. His services have been provided to a variety of clients including private equity groups, wealth/land management companies, trust professionals, and lending institutions.

David E. Wyant is the owner/instructor of Across Borders School of Real Estate, owner/broker of Wyant Realty International and a faculty member of the Florida REALTORS®. Having also been with IBM, he brings extensive international business expertise to the real estate industry.

The 2014 National Land Conference counts as an elective course toward earning the esteemed

Accredited Land Consultant Designation (ALC).

Requirements

Those desiring to attend the conference as a course requirement are required to:

1. Check off on the conference registration form that the conference is being taken as a course elective.*

2. Attend all educational sessions of the conference and sign attendance rosters for each session.

3. Develop a paper that covers one of the topics from the conference adding additional information from life experiences, research, and/or interviews with subject matter experts. Specific requirements for the paper may be

found at http://www.rliland.com/Resources/Land_Conference-Elective_Credit.pdf.

4. Submit the paper for review within sixty days after the final day of the conference to the RLI Executive VP.

5. Sign a release allowing RLI to distribute the papers submitted.

Certificates of Completion

A certificate of completion noting sixteen (16) contact hours will be sent to all who successfully complete the course white paper option requirements.

*RLI does not issue continuing education units. Questions regarding continuing education units should be directed to the organization issuing the credits i.e. state and local boards.
